That step is optional. Of course they try to sneak it in and pretend it's part of the process but it actually happens after the site informs you the DLC has been added to your account.
I simply closed that page without filling in anything and the DLC is still in my library.

Of course what you're saying is technically correct but SEGA had those permissions (along with the ability to activate games on my account without my consent) for years at least since the Make War not Love event.
So if one day Hentai girls of questionable age - Totally not ment for pedophiles appears in my library I can plausibly say it was SEGA who did it.
On a sidenote: Does anybody know if there is a way to see those permissions and who has the ability to activate keys on my account? I know Humble probably still does from back when they used direct key activation but it would be intersting to see who else.

You allowed them to track the games you play and the achievements you get by allowing them to monitor your steam id. So you didn't sign up for emails or such, but you paid with the future use of your data.

I don't really get why that's a big deal, if you use a public profile, your games/achievements/everything is already visible, so nothing changes except they know they gave something to you?
