So I have a low violence edition key, does it count as the same game as the regular one if I give it away? Game is Steel Division Normandy 44 Deluxe Edition

If it's a different package you should find it here:

SteamDB does list a German-exclusive regional release for the game. Further, while I can't find details relating to that release itself, the "Low Violence Mode" toggle in the game's options [within the standard release of the game] puportedly removes Nazi symbols and reduces blood (as is typical for German-targetted releases). As such, it seems possible that what you have is a Germany-locked key.

Aside from the concern of a potential region lock, the listing on SG should still be the same "Steel Division Normandy 44 Deluxe Edition".

I guess I'll just try to give it away regionlocked to germany, I'll keep this thread up in case a mod tells me otherwise. Thanks for the help :P

If you got it in a trade, it would make it difficult to tell for sure; though, as Soothsayer has mentioned, it is probably the German one. I generally stay away from doing giveaways on keys if I don't know where they are from.

It wasn't a trade, I bought the game on humble's paradox build bundle yesterday, checked keys today and realized that they gave me an extra key for a low violence edition. They are different keys and two different boxes

Well, if you're actually in Canada, I would have thought you'd get a ROW key, but even then, if you have a choice of two keys that you'd only be able to use one?

Well, I redeemed the original game and there's another that says the same name only with low violence. It shows both and both are revealed, one key in the giveaway that may be deleted and one different key I used

Definitely sounds like a regional key, then. Wouldn't be the first time a bundle offered multiple keys for a single game, with different region restrictions for the keys, and it's also the explanation that seems to best fit the circumstance even without that precedence.

This. There's a variety of packages available but they're all under the same appid so everyone owns the same "game" regardless of any specific variants they have access/are restricted to.

Should I delete it and send a ticket about it then?

Personally, I'd always recommend going to staff directly for any kind of question relevant to your usage of SG. While newer batches of staff members have at times been a bit more confused about things, staff is generally a more reliable point of reference than the general community (nevermind that it covers your back moving forward). The only real trade-off of using a support ticket instead of the forums is that you generally have to wait longer to get your answers.

It's showing on the giveaway list just fine for me, though?

Can you point out the low violence sub? I'm not finding it on SteamDB.
