Wow, it's seriously been 8 years since I last made one of these?? Time flies!!

Hello all! I am slowly and tentatively sliding my way back into this community after being away for a while. Life has been crazy but we endure!!
I've been really into listening to horror podcasts lately, like the Magnus Archives and Malevolent, which is surprising because I don't really like horror. So if anyone has any lovecraftian games recomendations, I am all ears!!

Anyway! Here are two jigsaws for you to enjoy, with a little giveaway at the end of each one! (I think it's all set up right properly but it has been a while so please let me know if anything has gone wonky!) They are both games I've played recently and really enjoyed!

Enjoy!!

This had madness vibes like Cthulhu inspires. I had trouble with it on the smaller Steam Deck screen, but it's probably good on a full PC setup.

+1 for Call of Cthulhu. I enjoyed the story and atmosphere. Graphics are decent as well.

Have not played Still Wakes the Deep, but it's on my wishlist as it looks to be really good.

I bought this last month Sunken Engine. It's a boat repair sim with a lovecraftian vibe. It's still in early acces and only has one chapter so far but I love it. If you like chill games with a bit of a horror vibe, and don't mind sim gamess, you might find it interesting.

apparently The Room series are considered Lovecraftian (i see some hints towards the last game) https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/20773/The_Room_Collection/
Rusty Lake games have a certain atmosphere https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/3669/Rusty_Lake_Bundle/

Similar to Mortvie recommendation is SUNLESS SEA

Surprised it doesn't have the lovecraftian tag but Barotrauma is a good one if you have a group. Has some big monsters and weird fishes.

If you're into (digital) board games, I can recommend Elder Sign: Omens.

I would recomend Sunless Sea as one of the best written lovecraftian type stories I've ever played. It is very slow-paced, maybe not for all tastes, but sure is worth a try.

Hm. There are some Sherlock Holmes games that are lovecraftian also, though I have not played. I don't recall the title though. One might have been Sinking City, mentioned above, but I thought another was Sherlock Holmes: something.
