The internet has taught me that no matter how strange a fetish might sound there will be someone out there who's into that. I once randomly came across a youtube channel that exclusively posted CGI animations of anime girls getting turned into statues made of various materials, and it was very obviously a sexual thing, the animations were pretty alright tho even if they came off as amateurish.

Considering how many times I've ran into exactly that while looking at the galleries of random artists for completely unrelated stuff, I'm willing to say that "petrification" isn't even all that uncommon. ^_^'

Oh, I didn't know there were more artists doing that, I kinda assumed it was one of those super specific things.
To be fair I ran into it after watching some shorts comparing different sections of the original Tomb Raider with TR Anniversary and the recent remaster, after watching one about that one scene when Lara steps into the Midas Hand and is turned into a gold statue the algorithm suggested me those petrification videos and I watched them out of curiosity, but since that was the entirety of my exposure to that particular fetish I assumed it was pretty rare.
