But he's right, if you want those assets you can get them directly from Epic.
The Unreal Engine Editor has some browser module for assets etc., you can access them from there I guess...

I do not care about Epic Games.
I had 2 e-mails that my account was locked, due to failed login. I did not login.
I wanted to go to support - could not find e-mail nor way to submit ticket... Because when choosing "account problem" it redirected me to account menu -.-
But someone I managed to get into support of other "product". And there I had requested my deletion.

That's extremely cool of Epic. Releasing assets of a failed game for free is something I wish every company did. Of course in Epic's case it's a way to encourage using Unreal Engine, so it's not totally selfless, but it's still very generous.
