If its first date, don't make it too long, around 2 hours should be enough. Its already stressful for both of you, and usually first date is "data-exchange" so that will drain you too. It's normal to be nervous, in fact she is probably nervous too. I know it sounds cliche, but really, just be yourself, and be sure of yourself. Don't try to look/act cool, and especially don't try to pretend to be something you're not. Treat her with respect, don't make rude comments or make fun of her.

If you feel like talking that's cool, but don't talk too much. Try not to speak too quickly (happens when you're nervous) so you can think more clearly what you're saying. If you're not very talkative that's cool too, but you can't just smile and nod all the time. Eventually she'll ask something about you, and you'll have to answer with more than just monosyllables. Say whatever comes to mind, don't be afraid to make yourself look like a fool. And seriously pay attention to what she says.

Whenever there's silence you might get nervous again, but don't let that discourage you. You can even take advantage of the silent moments to look into her eyes (never look away!) and give her a warm smile.
