They might be trying to fund a re-release of No One Lives Forever... so there's that. Blind Kickstarter FTW! :P

I only played No One Lives Forever 2 and it was so funny, they put some effort into the humor :)

If i had a penny every time some one said that on the comments, i would probably have the whole steam library by now.

I will pass on this one though, i think i got a bundle with a couple of this games, dont really remember which one, dont really care.

Just got Shadow Man 3-4 days ago, I would say it's worth 1 dollar alone, it's an old game but it was fun in it's time, I doing a rerun right now + you get a free comic volume 1 with shadow man.

I have no mouth and I must Scream is worth 5$ alone, and The 7th Guest is only a little bit worse. So I would say that this is a very good bundle. Also System Shock 2 is a great add-on. Totally worth it.

Did they decide that they would redo a recent Bundle Stars bundle with HIGHER tiers and FEWER games, and hope that it will catch buyers' eyes? :|

it seems to be it
it's the toxic bundle that you are talking about ?

7th Guest, 11th Hour, and Shadow Man were all in the Bundle Stars Toxic Bundle. I Have No Mouth was in the first Blink bundle. System Shock 2 was in the Retro Shooters Humble Weekly.

Harvester hasn't been bundled before, nor have the Wizardy games (doh! I bought them to give away here, but now...).

Last year indie gala has worst bundles but this year indiegala is much much better than Humble Bundle. What happened to you HB?

They got too much support, now when they are the most popular bundle site, they can make "not so good" bundles cuz a lot of ppl will still buy them, they still sell far more than any other bundle in 1 week or 2 weeks.

They've turned their charity to business

1 decade ago

It always was a business venture (Humble Bundle, Inc. is a privately held Delaware corporation), just one with a "pay what you want" business model. Maybe at the start it was an experiment of sorts but it likely become rather obvious rather quickly that it was a profitable one.

You think the bundles would still be regularly churned out if everyone set it so 100% of the amount they paid went to charity?

They were less greedy back then and the bundle were pretty good. Now they're offering crap games mostly and often even for higher price than bought separately. And all those mobile, android, books, comics bundles for ridiculous prices...

There was also a month in between bundles. Consider this a filler bundle. Also, I love the Android bundles. They cater to my linux needs.

nevyn beat me to it but:

Humble Indie Bundle: May 4–10, 2010
Humble Indie Bundle 2: December 14–24, 2010
Humble Frozenbyte Bundle: April 12–26, 2011
Humble Indie Bundle 3: July 26 – August 9, 2011
Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle: September 28 – October 12, 2011

After that they pretty much became monthly and further down the line we get to the current situation today. The main "Humble Indie Bundle"s that pop up every few months are so are still quality.

Also just because the games have been bundled before doesn't automatically render them or the bundles as a whole as "crap". Most of the people complaining here and on Facebook etc. tend to forget that.

"And all those mobile, android, books, comics bundles for ridiculous prices..."

Then buy the ones you want and be done with it. All the complaining just gets tiring. (And it's the same usual suspects in every flipping bundle thread.)

What did you say about comics bundles for ridiculous prices? (because 4 for 1$, + 6 for bta so about ~4$ total at early purchase, + 2 at 15$ total = 12 volumes for 15$; this is a steal)

Comics bundle? Really?

1 decade ago

Comment has been collapsed.

What's wrong about them? They're great for people looking for new titles to read and easier/cheaper to collect than paperback (spent 33$ for 2 "Suicide Squad" volumes, wondering how long it'll take me to collect 70$ for "Grimm Fairy Tales Omnibus" and there is still "Venom" waiting ...I wish money grew on trees)

so mostly repeats from bundle stars and indie gala bundles from last week, for twice the price? wow humble bundle sucks so hard lately

in an hour that this bundle has been active it has sold a total of only 1500 units, probably record sales for humble bundle, and from $10k that it has sold 10% or $1k is from the publishers themselves...lol

I want System Shock but at $9 I'll wait.

Wow, if I didn't already own these games I'd buy it. Lot of great old stuff in there...

Hmm, ok I don't know what Harvester is, must have missed that game back in the old days... :) But there's a mountain of classic games in this bundle. If you only want brand new indie games for pennies, it probably looks like junk - but if you're not afraid of SVGA, give it a try! :)

I lack the Wizardry games and Harvester, but no way am I willing to pay that amount of cash for them.

Bundlestars is consistently better than humble. However, bundle has sold some games that simply cant be beaten, and then mostly meh.
