I'd recommend that one too. Its a quick game and very casual.
if you want a MOBA game that is casual but along the lines of most traditional MOBAs then I'd recommend Strife, Infinite Crisis etc.

if you love Mobas, you will probably enjoy both LoL and Dota 2. Some people want more challenge, so they will pick dota and enjoy more. Some people want a more relaxing simple game, such as OP, so he will probably enjoy LoL more.
Yes, LoL is indeed noob-friendly while dota is the exact opposite. Just choose what you prefer.

On STEM The simplest one (and fun) is AwesomeNauts. Outside I would recomend STRIFE https://strife.com/
Strife will fit all your recomendations. Not too many heroes, no headake with couriers/wards. Has element from other MOBAs like (hiding in bushes :) etc. Item build and Skill build is pretty much simpler but you gonna need to spend some time on learning anyway (common it's MOBA you need some info ) . Give it a try

I finally got a better (for my country) internet and can finally play online at home, I've been meaning to try MOBAs, my closest experience so far has been Awesomenauts and AirMech. I don't mind non traditional MOBAs, but I'm looking for something simple that doesn't depend on specific builds or has too many characters. Any recommendations?
