<slightly too serious mode on> Before you click this link, think twice if you want to learn something new about Han Solo. It's from 100% Disney approved just released canon comic book.

Maybe I missed something, but this is nothing nasty. Just a scene from Disney's Star Wars comic book.

Well, if you read that comic this link will spoiler it I guess...

It what way? You can be married and still flirt and or sleep around, be a dickhead and so on. A lot of couples have an arrangement/open relationships and so on.

Han Solo has never had the 'I'm a scumbag' vibe. Cheating on somebody confirmed as your wife is pretty scumbaggy.

I dunno, Han shooting first is kinda scummy ;)

What? Not at all. I've never understood that. Anyone would shoot first. I understand you're probably joking but that has to really die. He was being hunted by bounty hunters and he's obviously what I would classify as unlawful good, or at least neutral.

Certainly not scumbaggish, though. I think that that's going too far.

Well, kind of stupid and pointless twist imo... but then again I was already expecting something even more asinine when I clicked on your link.

I have to be honest, I've never watched any of the Star Wars films, so I don't know how terrible this change is

Yeah, the original trilogy is pretty great. I'd start with them :)

Yeah, it's funny how people who have never watched any of them think they should start out with Episode 1. Then anybody experienced is like, "NOOO, start with 4! It will all make sense later..."

Not that bad if you only take the films into account, but Han Solo is supposed to have a future and children with Princess Leya. At least that was canon before Disney.....:D

The Disney canon is that everything is part of the same universe and is 100% Star Wars, this comic now makes it canon for the movies however just remember that it is a comic book and generally their story arcs can go over multiple issues and span a long time, so don't just jump to conclusions here.

I must put this here.

First, this seems like a really unnecessary move for them to make. Really weak attempt to add drama to a universe with plenty of story and emotion.
Second, anybody who thinks that Han is made of pure driven white snow and couldn't possibly cheat or fool around outside of a relationship probably doesn't have much experience with real word adult relationships. Now, I'm not saying it's right, if it wasn't condoned, but it's not that outlandish for him. He didn't even want to help anybody besides himself early on in the stories.
That's part of what makes him interesting is to watch him go from trigger happy scoundrel to rebel hero. And even then,
can't take the scoundrel out of the smuggler...

Real life adult relationships =/= A specific singular adult relationship that wouldn't even make logical sense in the first place.

I knew Disney would ruin it... I mean honestly...
Han may be a douchebag, but if anything he was always gallant towards women. He wouldn't do something like that.

Doesn't seem that shocking to me. I'm going to guess that much like the Falcon, Lando had her first. ;)

Han was always for him, and Chewie. This would never happen. Most of the comic is just cheap shock schlock fanon. This is dumb, just stupid and dumb. Dumb as in it's all been dumb since Cartman failed to give SW to the Chinese.

Could be something like Saffron from Firefly - a con artist who weasels her way around things, etc. Or with Han's past, it could have been simply a marriage of convenience in some overly convoluted smuggling plot.

Heh, heh, so Leia's love interests are a married man and her brother. Those Disney guys are a lot more edgy than anyone thought.
