So I "subscribed" deactivated 3 minutes later, since it says it can be cancelled at any time and well... there's absolutely no reason to actually leave the payment happen to this bundle of 1.50 euros. Still, I paid 2.11 euros for it, and that's... closer to the price of that other option... If they really wanted this as a legit subscription, they should have forced a payment for at least 2 months on the 1.5 tier.... oh well.
Here's what I noticed:

  1. G2A doesn't have the VAT included, which is an extra +20% here. Not THAT bad, but if you're in the EU, you're used to not getting extra taxes... also, the VAT in my country is 19%, and for other payments (on G2A) it seems to be that way, but not for this one... oh well.
  2. The credit card/Paypal tax is HUGE... something over 30 cents... for 1.5 euros... really? Is that because G2A doesn't have a good relationship with credit card providers/Paypal? Also, it's pretty much same as the point before, since you're not used to all those extra taxes in the EU.
  3. I realised 2 of the games used to be free, so if anyone wants a Syberia or Dirt 3 Complete key, let me know. (this is actually the reason I made this thread, just an excuse to throw some keys at you.
  4. It makes Superhot a deal with its real value. I'm going to play it to see how it is, but from the reviews, it's just another cheap indie game, but with a cool idea.
  5. I remember I had another point about it, so here it is.

  1. It should be. Others state they had VAT included.
  2. They make you pay the PayPal transaction fees. I always thought it was against PayPal ToS, but someone once said to me it can somehow be transferred to the buyer regardless.
  3. Well, what did you expect but free keys in there somewhere? :) It is still G2A we speak of.
  4. Not so cheap and it sold pretty well enough to never go below 50% price before this bundle. This is what made a lot of people suspicious and also left them baffled.

The point about VAT is that in EU you have to list the price with VAT included, you can't say a price and then at checkout add the VAT.

This is why G2A fakes itself to be a SEA company, even though they are actually Polish. A nice way to circumvent a lot of consumer laws and regulations, even if Hong Kong technically has quite strict ones.

Of course, a lot of consumer laws can be a real pita if you're not really interested in providing good service ;)
And consumers can be quite annoying, pulling the consumer's rights-card in all kind of situations even if you're a legit business

Probably the reason why they manage to sponsor so many figures in gaming industry.

Also interested in Syberia. :3

They can fund them because their profit margin is above 90%. They only take fees for doing anything on their site: it costs money to post on the market, to sell on the market, to try and cash out your money form your sales on the market (unless they directly steal it by locking your account before you could take said money). They attach fees for purchasing form the market. They put fees for both buyers and sellers and they only have to operate a cheaply-made web site and a support team, which is not a well-paid job in any field in any country.

I subbed just for Lords of the Fallen because my friend has wanted to play it for years. Subbed for 1.50, instantly unsubbed. Pretty funny that the entire G2A team overlooked that. The paypal tax was pretty ridiculous though, yeah.

They didn't really overlook it, rather, the one-time payment option allows more payment methods than the subscription, and some of those may involve more fees on their end, so they charge more for that. Plus, they're trying to encourage people to subscribe and stay subscribed, and the majority are not as fearful of G2A as people on Reddit, SG, and other enthusiast sites are. We are a tiny minority of gamers compared to the overall gaming population. A whole bunch of folks will see this as a good deal and stick with it until it explicitly lets them down.

Dirt 3 free? Damn, I missed it. If you still have it, hit me up, brodie.

As for point 4, here's my opinion, hope that it helps.

I was both pleasantly surprised and displeased by SUPERHOT. It is quite a nice game with an original concept, great gameplay and it's also very polished. But it is also incredibly short. I finished the main story, about 30 levels that might take less than 2 minutes each, in less than a couple hours (and that's mainly because I got stuck in the elevator level for a good 20 minutes). All that is left is more of the same (do the whole thing again, but with special rules, i.e. against a timer or using a katana only, and endless mode that is essentially a few rooms with infinite enemies spawning).

If they made a real 6-8hrs campaign for it, I'd buy it at full price, but this way is hardly worth more than €2.50 or whatever was this bundle's price :/

Well after having read this I'm not really too surprised. Note my comment/criticism and similar concerns almost 3 years ago:

Ai posibilitatea să selectezi metoda de plată "EU Business & VAT registered | 0% VAT". De comisionul de 0.32 euro de la paypal/cardul de credit nu poți sa scapi.

I didn't get the bundle yet, and I don't think I will. I still have a lot of games I want to finish so there's no point in buying new ones. Not to mention the fact that I'm not really interested in the games they're offering. I've played the first and the second Syberia a long time ago and I'm not interested in DIRT3 or SUPER HOT. Lords of the Fallen is the only game I'm somewhat interested in, because I adore Dark Souls. Buuuut, I found a lot of unfavorable opinions about the game and the DRM it comes with on the community hub. Which is why I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Plus, it's G2A, so that's another reason not to buy it.

Call yourself lucky if you haven't started selling on there yet.

First of all they take 0.35€ feee then another 10,8%. Above that every 14 days, it renews the auction for 0.15€!

I took the no-subscribe option, because I preferred to pay 1 euro more and be safe from any shady move from them. Am I the only one who saw a warning on the key page, saying that any key not activated before mid april will be disabled for good ?

Yes, I did, after I cancelled the subscription.
They can't do shady moves with subscriptions, though. You just cancel. Pay with Paypal, cancel there too, so they don't have permission to take money the next month. I didn't read the TOS and stuff, but it said clearly that the subscription can be cancelled at any time, they must respect what's written with big letters before what's hidden behind 3 clicks and an hour of reading.

I feel like an idiot...
I bought a game from G2A a week or two back. Nowhere did I tick any boxes asking for G2A plus, or whatever the sub is. And today debited €2.35 recurring payment, making the deal I thought I got pointless. Managed to use paypal to prevent anymore, but still..

I think I'd heard to be wary of g2A. Now I know why. Bloody crooks.
