Why does is say it is not tradable until Jan 20th? "Gifts become tradable after a steam account has been in good standing for at least 30 days. This gift will become tradable on Jan 20th, 2012." Did you just make an account to try and get games? I apologize if I'm out of line it just seems weird that it would say that.

You cannot do it with a gameless accounts but I had a spare speedball 2 key and created an account yes. It is tradeable though, that warning only applies to purchased gifts. I succesfully traded it with my real steam account and have it in my inventory now.

This whole new giveaway by Steam is so unfair. Why some people get free cool games and others like me get a crap discount for valve games? I don't plan on buying nothing from Valve except CS:GO, Dota 2 or next episode of HL, but none of them are released yet, but the coupon description says it cannot be used on games released after Jan 2, 2012. So, what's the point on having a 50% off if it's not gonna work for the games I do really want?

Jesus man is just my opinion. And no, I'm not talking about SteamGifts, I'm talking about the Steam platform giveaway. This guy got Assassin's Creed, I got lucky and got a crap 50% off coupon, and some people got an even crappier 25% off any Valve title. You get my point now?

It's totally random. And I won't ever understand why someone is complaining he have a chance of getting free stuff. I doubt Origin or GameStop would do something like this.
