A Very Public Apology to iGreeN

As many of you already know, iGreen made a rather controversial thread a few days ago. His thread looked very much like a begging thread, to make puzzle giveaways easier so that he could get into them. Naturally, this was met with considerable backlash. I was one of the larger presences in that thread, and I was fairly angry, as I have made repeated puzzle giveaways, and here's some utter prat attacking my generosity because he's too stupid to get into them?

Then emerged that one of his previous wins was neither in his game library nor his inventory. We pretty much just laid into him then, especially me. The mods were called, lokonopa (I believe) banned him and closed the thread, but not before Cult called us all foolish.

I was confused by that response, since he had very clearly violated not one but two rules, one of them very serious (no begging and no trading wins), yet we were the fools? Anyway, after he was banned, I let it drop from my mind. Another begging idiot gone from our minds forever. Good riddance.

But then, the thread was re-opened, iGreen unbanned and Cult made another odd post (since deleted) that made me think 'Hold on, I think I'm missing something here.' So, while with all begging threads, I make an effort to scan for hidden links in case they're being sneaky and subversive, I had not found anything with iGreeN's thread, leading me to assume it was entirely legitimate in its entitlement and whining. But I gave it another go and began using random letters from the original post that stood out to me. Lo and behold, the very first letter of each sentence. 6-Z-L-1-c.

Well, shit.

Now, I had said quite a few highly aggressive things in the thread and even, for the lulz, convinced CaspianRoach to blacklist iGreeN from their easy puzzle giveaway. While I couldn't say anything to CaspianRoach at the time without giving the game away, I could do some things. First off was deleting nearly every comment I made on iGreeN's thread. Second, was apologising sincerely on the giveaway page and apologising personally to iGreeN as well as lokonopa and Cult for causing the hassle I did. While iGreeN was expecting some backlash, I went too far and I want to make up for that.

So, now that the giveaway has ended, I can apologise in public in an attempt to make iGreeN a less hated name for those that stopped following the original thread and therefore won't pick up on his, admittedly far too good, trolling. I'm sorry. iGreeN is not a bad guy, at all. I screwed up and I'm apologising for that, not only to iGreeN, but to everyone on Steamgifts.
