Haunted metal scrap is basically worthless -- you can get it at any time by killing the Horseless Headless Horsemann, dealing the killing blow with a melee hit. You don't need an official Valve server. Lots of trade servers have the boss on their maps, and that's how I got mine.

Additionally, when you get the metal it is not tradeable. This means that to transfer it from one player to another, it must be gift wrapped. Gift wrap is somewhere in the region of 1 key in price. The combination of being so easy to obtain but difficult to pass to another account makes it pretty much not worth it.

There WAS some kind of glitch at one point where haunted metal scraps could be made tradeable. I'm not sure if the scrap was allowed to remain in the game, but Headtakers and Skulls crafted with it are still in existence, and can be freely traded. Last I checked, the headtaker, if tradeable, was worth about 3 keys. The skulls IDK and like I said I'm not sure the metal even exists anymore, so I have absolutely no clue on that.

Off-topic. but I am looking for a decent TF2 server thats not full of people who get mad when they die, or constantly troll chat with the stupid faces, or a server that sticks to one map.
