Geometry Dash or if you don't want to get violent, maybe hidden objects games.

This War of Mine, Total War series (Shogun 2 is my favorite), Artificial Defense (or any TD game really), Banished, Blue Estate, Cities: Skylines.

Total War mouse only is possible but still much worse than mouse + keyboard. No keybindings and mouse-only camera control takes a lot out of it.

Keyboard is needed in QTE in Blue Estate.

Ouch. What happened? (if you don't mind me asking.)

Point and Click as mentioned above or isometric RPG classics like Fallout 2 or Baldur's Gate. If you want modern, Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity. Those kinds of games will only need one hand and keep you occupied if you get hooked.

Stupid kitchen accident, i decide to use the most sharp knife on the house to separate 2 frozen steaks... kinda deserve the outcome for doing that.

Thanks for the game recommendations.

How bad was that? Stitches bad?

it's bad, possible nerve damage 3 internal stitches to stop bleeding vessels and 5 external for closing the wound.

everything turn-based ;)

All kinds of old-school isometric RPGs (Tyranny, Torment Tides of Numenera, Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, Divinity Original Sin, all HD remakes of Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment etc)

All kinds of tactical games (Fallout Tactics, Disgaea etc)

Turn based strategies (whole King's Bounty series, Heroes of Might and Magic series)

All Point'n'Click games (all Lucas Arts classics, Deponia series, Amanita games, countless indie games)

you NEVER finished any BG? o.O Then surely do so! But tbh I'd really suggest BG2 as an entry point - it's much much better than BG1 and it does not require you to know BG1 story (if it does it gives you compensated backstory). BG2 is one of the best oldschool RPGs (some think it's the best but for me Torment is the best game ever created ;p), BG1 was a revolution but it was one of the first games like this ever created, so it lacks a lot compared to sequel ;p

also if you are willing to play keyboard only games using your working hand - I made this topic a while ago : https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/XiR2A/games-to-play-with-keyboard-only-without-a-mouse - I simply had no mouse, but it can still help you as many of suggested games can be played one hand on keyboard only ;)

I agree, for this game you just need a single hand with at least 2 fingers for better experience.

Yowch. Uh... Spacechem, maybe? Many RTS games can be played mouse-only, though it tends to be faster to use hotkeys for most things. Audiosurf could be good, especially if you like music and have your own digital collection of songs.

There's a Mouse Only tag on Steam, but sadly the tag is not used very often. Or, rather, as often as it should. :/

I have a friend who recently broke his left arm, and looking for games for him, I found the curators Single-Handed Games and One-Handed Gaming. The former has a link to GiantBomb's list while the latter has a link to a GOG list. Note that the second curator does include CS:GO, so you may need to take these with a grain of salt.

A lot of mobile ports will work well one-handed so, especially if you are on a touch-sensitive tablet or nootebook, you may want to try the Touch-friendly tag. It's not guaranteed to be single-handed touch - you may get some twin-stick virtual joystick games like the Halo Spartan games in there - but it may also pick up some that should have a single-handed or mouse-only tag but don't.

X-com ufo defense, Xcom Enemy unknown/within and Xcom 2 can all be played with mouse only.
Any point'n'click adventure as well.
The Cat Machine counts, so does Six Sides of the World if I recall correctly. And Human Resource Machne.
Typing of the Dead Overkill certainly doesn't, but you can switch to House of the Dead mode which does...

Pretty much any turn-based strategy game or RPG, real time with pause will work too, you can still smack a space bar to pause with the hurt hand or if you have a gaming mouse with extra buttons, set one of those to pause. Or something like Cities Skylines.
