Movies with "not so good" protagonists

So I'm tired of the generic "good guy/girl" movies, wanna watch something that the main character is prob manipulative and maybe a genius that doesn't want to be nice and put up with bullshit.

Not asking for a villain or complete asshole main character though, just one who doesn't kiss everyone's ass or is the overall "good guy/girl". Thanks in advance :D

Edit: got a nice list up here, watched Hard Candy, Mememto, The Professional, Kill Bill so far! Thanks so much SG community for all the awesome suggestions :D

Death Note, it's an Anime (Manga originally) but it may be what you're looking for if you you're into that sort of thing.

All these movies have at least one character that is driven insane, which I think might suit your liking as you don't want the generic good guy/girl who saves the day.
