I got a chance yesterday to play it for a while. Anyone else did? Did you like it if so? Will it succeed or there's no place for the game with Hearthstone coping the market already?

Is it the "look, if Blizzard can do it, we can sell the same with Elder Scrolls slapped onto the title" game? Because that tactic went spectacularly with Elder Scrolls Online…

The mechanics are a bit different, not a lot because in the end it's the same tipe of game, but it reminds me of Magic the gathering way more than Heartstone. Never tried ESO though.

Well, let's be honest, most card battle games are copying Magic and mostly competing only in which can dumb it down more. (Hearthstone seems to be leading there.)
ESO was Zenimax's attempt to sell a dime-a-dozen hack-and-slash MMORPG by naming it Elder Scrolls. This subscription model was quickly changed to permanent subscriptions upon purchase. Not because of the huge masses that flocked there to pay them money…

I like what I've seen of Gwent more...

A watered down version of it was included as part of The Witcher 3's game.

Now they are gonna release a stand alone version. But don't know if it will be f2p or pay to win or anything.

It'll be F2P with paid packs, as most similar games, yes.
