Hello,

I hope someone will give me advices to choose (and find) a good travel controller. I play on my computer at home with X360 and X1 controller. But i make many travel for my work and on plane or train, i only can play to games for keyboard only because there is never enough space for mouse (playing). And the Xbox controllers are to big (i mean thick) for take it with me on my work briefcase.

I've seen many thin controllers, but for smartphone playing, but never for computer... I think that exist, but i can't find them. Or i can't have the certainty that it'll work on my computer.

The two point that the controller i'm searching should have is : to be thin, and one or 2 stick.

Thanks a lot for helping me !!

I have one of these.

It's quite small in the hand but it works and comes in a plastic box with retractable USB cord for transport.

It works for anything that doesn't need more buttons than it has. I find that it's worked well for me. The analogue stick is a slider like on the PSP and 3DS, so your personal taste will depend on how they work for you. I do like the slider, but some can't use it as well as a stick.

That's nice about the slider. I've tried and liked it. That's why i was thinking about why don't make a slim controler with sliders rather than analog sticks... If there is a controller with 2 sliders like yours it would be awesome !

What about getting a handheld device like NVIDIA Shield?

Because like the Xbox controllers i have it'll be to thick... I've tried to take my controllers in my briefcase, and i get two "problems" too thick for the briefcase (it fits but the briefcase is cambered) and i think i'll destroy the sticks because the controller is really tighten in the briefcase...

I think they are thiner than the X ones, but still too thick. I'll check the height to be sure ;)
Thanks !

These don't have sticks though... but maybe you'll find games that could work with them.. I don't know. The price though.

Have you tried PS3 or newer controllers, like the Sixaxis or DS3? From what I recall they're easy to connect via bluetooth, can emulate a 360 controller (if needed) via software, and I believe they're a bit smaller and in the case of the Sixaxis lighter as well, if you don't care about the rumble functionality.

Yes i've tried PS3 controllers and they are ok for me to play, but in this case i really need slim controllers. Anyway, thanks for your message !!
