Edit: Sorry, this is a bit out of context. This is because of your "Ny" pizza story.

It's in $number format. The money I put into the pool doesn't count as winnings.

no decimal places. if it was ten dollars, it'd be written like this: $10

Welcome back! Nice looking trip you had there. I hope you had as much fun as I'm hoping you did!
My friend also went to Busch gardens last year, among other places, of course, and said it was very cool!
I've always wanted to go on some serious fishing trip some time myself... by your description, it really looks worthwhile! Thanks for sharing and, once again, be very welcome back to the community (:

Thanks! the trip was tiring, but very fun. That was my third time deep sea bottom fishing and I recommend it. It's very physically tolling, fishing for hours isn't easy, It's very hot, and depending on the weather, motion sickness can be a serious issue. It can also be gross and dangerous. The first two times I let the charter crew do everything so I was fine, but this time I did a lot of the work myself and got covered in fish blood, urine and poop, along with impaling myself with a hook.
Even with that I still think it's worth it. It's fun and competitive, especially if you go with friends or family. It's exciting and interesting too, all three times I went someone caught a shark, and there's so many cool different types of fish, depending on where you go. It's also very rewarding. Even if you don't catch a big fish, which you probably won't, at least not if you use the gear charters provide to you, you get to eat what you catch.

This is all so nice to know and so very well said! I'm so glad you took your time to share your experiences with us.
I can see, then, why fishing can indeed be gross sometimes, but I believe it should be part of the experience. Fishing may seem like leisure but I can tell that, on cases like this, in can be one hell of a work.
I hope I can check it out for myself some day, living in a country like mine (Brazil) it isn't too hard to find a fishing crew willing to take some silly tourists in for a day (:

Still confused by Q5. A $10 pool is not the same thing as a $10 pot. I'll keep guessing with different assumptions.

So I'm finally back from my three day trip! Actually I was back yesterday, but I was too tired to write this and 175 Thanks for taking over Atom032.
Anyway, It was pretty cool and i'm going to write about it because why not?
Day 1
Day 1 was a day of misunderstanding. I learned that the day traveling there wasn't counted, so the trip would actually last 4 days. I learned the plan for the trip. spend the first 2 days at Virginia beach, then go to Busch Gardens, than Kings Dominion. When we pulled into our Hotel at Virginia beach, we passed a pizza place called ny pizza, and my brother didn't figure out it stood for New York pizza and thought it was "nye" pizza. We teased him about it the rest of the trip. The place was pretty good, I had some on my second day.
I hadn't known we were going to the beach, so I had to buy swim trunks and flip flops there, then we wen't swimming. The ocean was saltier than I
expected.
I also had some really good tea. I tried orange tea, and even being hotel tea made with microwave water, It was still amazing.
Day 2
We had amazingly sugary pancakes and then wen't fishing. There was a $2 pool for who caught the biggest fish for the entire fish, but my dad, brother and I had a $10 pool between ourselves. For most of the day, my brother seemed to be in the lead, and It seemed like he would win. At the final couple of fishing spots, I made a major comeback. Me and another dude duel-caught a shark! There were also some other cool fish that were caught. I caught a cool looking fish that I don't remember the name of, and some other people caught some puffer fish. After I caught the shark, someone caught a huge fish even bigger than the shark, so it was pretty obvious who would win the $2 pool, but at least I still had the $10 pool between my family. I also injured my self pretty bad, impaling a hook into my thumb. (And it's all my brothers fault!)
Day 3
We went to Busch gardens for the first time. The rides weren't as great, but I liked the park much more than Kings Dominion, which I had been to recently. We missed the boat ride we wanted to do, which sucked but we tried everything else we wanted. I also injured myself again, bumping my shoulder into a piece of metal while getting on a ride and getting a bruise. I also destroyed my shoes. a hole formed in the bottom of one, and then the sole started to detached from the back of the shoe.
After Busch gardens, we decided to cut the trip short, so it would actually be three days. My dad had to go to work the next morning and we didn't want to stay in a hotel again. I was glad because I wasn't to fond on going to King's Dominion again, as I had gone there recently.
Also, thanks everyone for telling me my grammar errors last thread! Those aren't hints though, I just suck at spelling and grammar, a perfect quality for someone who loves to write.

I didn't wan't the puzzle to be hard, just wanted only people who read the story to get in.
q5 is $20. My brother, dad and I each put up $10. I won, so I got my $10 back, plus their $20. I neglected the $2 pool.
Edited text to make the answers more clear, I realize that I originally had mistakes that mislead you, Hopefully I've fixed them all.
