Will you Up Your Game and buy this bundle?

[Tier 1] $1 for VoiceBot? Ok, I'm buying.
[Tier 2] I'll Display a purchase for Tier 2
[Tier 3] I'll Snag it!
[Price complaint] This is a Superexpensive Benchmark
[Skip] No Steam games = no buy. I don't need this software at all.

This title has to be a joke

Our office used DisplayFusion when we were first transitioning from 1 monitor per computer to 2 or 3.
Honestly we just ended up not needing it once we all had consistent monitor sizes (vs a mix of sizes) and moved to Win 10.
Most of the features were nice but not worth reinstalling the software when we went from to 10.

Another VPN ? Do we really need 1 year subscription every month ?

Well you know, one has to find a way around those infinite Humble Bundle region locks and they offer us just the right tools!!!

What does it bring to the table compared to default win10 desktop? I'm using 2 monitors and already have span/surround/1 or 2 bars/wallpapers, ... everything from their video.

For me aside of managing correct dual monitor profile which the software is intended to do, it also has plenty of Window Management options like toggle a window to be always on top, etc. I don't need separate software only for that purpose.

I was thinking about getting this for Camtasia, but after doing some quick googling, it seems OBS has mostly taken over as the market leader, matching if not exceeding most of Camtasia's features, plus it's open source.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The only reason i can think of to get camtasia would be for recording games / software that OBS might work poorly with.

Oh dear, it is almost as bad as the last one.

  • VoiceBot is very situational, but at least works.
  • Outfox literally describes how the internet works as its premise and throws in a lot of buzzwords that carry exactly zero technical meaning. We had a half dozen or so similar products, all disappeared in a few months. Technically, something like them can improve ping if you are living in Hickstown USA, seven hundred miles from actual civilisation that already invented a bath, but everywhere else one the globe, that is not how the internet works.
  • I am pretty sure Reflector's function has been implemented in all major OSs for 3+ years now by default. I know the Surface tablets were originally advertised with this as one of their features.
  • DisplayFusion does what it says and it has a few more features than AMD Eyefinity. The thing its descriptions fails to mention that it can royally fuck up some games and prevent them from displaying anything, leading to an FAQ topic on their website detailing how to get rid of the program so you can continue using your PC.
  • VyprVPN. VPN service #789,236,778,923,465,786,534.
  • Superposition is a 20-dollar benchmark that does pretty much what Prime95/CPU-Z/GPU-Z/etc. do for free.
  • Camtasia is great, but OBS exists and does literally everything (and a bit more) Camtasia can, so who even uses this software in 2018? As for the editor part, there are better video editing software for that job.
  • Snagit… gyazo exists, and it is free and does the exact same. 'Nuff said.

So… yay, the one-dollar tier is useful!

I mean you have a free snipping tool in every windows since 7 to 10... just saying.

i always use snipping tools, but for justification for my work always need quick and easy screen shot + editor for add direction, text, and insert other picture/other screenshot...

I find Camtasia editor is more intuitive though, at least compared to Sony Vegas. You can do any editing straight in the preview window in Camtasia. I was tempted but I found that they offered an older version of the software, which taken me back.

So what's the value we are getting for the full bundle purchase? Those tier 3 apps any good? I already use sharex for screen captures and the nvidia default video/screen recorder app works fine for me. Anyone do humble bundle reviews for this stuff?

Almost shit myself when activating Outfox. You have to choose the yearly plan $39,99, complete with a real CC info, the coupon from HB, and press buy. I rechecked like 12 times if everything was correct. I didn't wanted to pay $40 if it were an error with the coupon

Oh look, more stuff that you will have to buy again at full price later. I wonder how much IGN is getting for pushing all these subscription stuff? (can I say that now or am I "trolling"?)

I'm very interested in Display Fusion for work... But I won't pay more than Steam full price to get it from Humble Bundle. BTA seems like a joke of a very bad taste for those who want the BTA softwares. This will be like the other bundle... Not a single split proposal. I'll be forced to pass.

For what it seems it is relates to boost your network performance in online gaming.

It is supposed to reduce your ping by ensuring that the data makes less hops through internet nodes.

Thing is, the internet by default works this way when intelligent people with some competence laid down the backbone infrastructures. Naturally, the USA is exempt from that, so rural US has rather nasty ping problems sometimes as the data goes longer ways than it would be logical.
So, unless you live in Behind-Gods-Arse in the Murican prairie, Outfox should do diddly dick for you.

It says You must pay at least $1.00 to get Steam keys. So, It should give non-steam keys for less than $1 as it sounds. Guess what, it doesn't. In my purchases page it says minimum $1 to receive content. This is nothing but scam.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

it dosnt say that you would get anything for less then 1$. it just says you have to pay at least 1$ to get steam keys.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

exactly, that's why it's scam. It should clearly say you won't get anything under 1$. Mentioning only steam keys is misleading.

Permalink

but when you look what you get in which tier, how can you believe that you get items for less money? o.O
its written there: you get for 1$ the following items and so on ...

Permalink

it says pay what you want for first tier. In payment options it only mentions steam keys for $1. Anyway, you insist to not understand, that's fine.

Permalink

If you enter $0.20 you will meet the warning: "You must pay at least $1.00 to get keys."

Also if you read the text in the bundle it says: "Pay what you want. [...] This bundle has a minimum $1 purchase." and "PAY $1 TO UNLOCK!"

I think Humble Bundle did a good job warning about getting nothing when paying less than $1.

I'm sure they read here or someone warned them as well since they modified both text. You can check yourself from google cache from july 19:
