I think this was already posted, but it doesn't work in the US or maybe it's just me.

Basically, the price of the monthly subscription has been increased by:

  • 30% for EUR currency,
  • 20% for CAD currency,
  • 0% for other currencies.

The email with a month-long discount for the yearly subscription is mentioned in the email announcing the price increase.
So it makes sense that it only works for EUR and CAD.

It's such an out of the ass action, makes absolutely no sense just to randomly hike prices, then add an "extra" that usually lacks games, and most of the bonuses can't be claimed to begin with.
(Little on the nose with the current political discourse where EU and Canada is hated on the government's level, but China gets a pass lol. It's just nonsense)

Wow, I wonder why only EUR and CAD get price increases... it makes no sense.

Highjacking this thread. It was mentioned in this thread where the price raise was mentioned https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/gyEvw/humble-choice-seems-to-be-getting-a-price-increase-confirmed-for-canada-europe

As expected. They always drop a very good Choice bundle for 1~2 months then a 1-year subscription promo, so when the promo ends and they caught the most people they could, they start to release worse and worse bundles, with games no one cares about and EA keys as headlines.

Not for me, every month was worth it.

Is your call then. Ive been as far to write to humble support and tell them they were giving away literal digital sh*t. But as a wise man once said the trash of one man its the treasure of another heh.

For me, every month was worth it too. One might be better than others, but every single one had at least a game I wanted, and that would cost me almost the bundle to get it alone

You can usually get the headliners pretty cheap after the bundle elsewhere or from the users than already have them but if you feel is worth it its fair too.

I know I can, but still not worth it, annual is 99usd, meaning 8,25 per month. Usually, you find those headliners for like, 4 or 5 bucks depending. For 3, 4 more, you get 7 good games.

How do I apply the coupon if I'm already a sub? I changed from monthly to annual, but I haven't seen any place to put the coupon in.

You need to cancel first, then try resubscribing.

There is no need to cancel your subscription and lose the choice discount (if you care about it). I had to purchase it as a gift and inserted the coupon code in the box when I've selected the gift option. Then I gifted it to my email address and claimed the promo for myself: it extended my already existing subscription.

You are right, I forgot he could just gift it instead!
Though he would not lose his discount if he resubscribed before the next Monthly is revealed. :)

So you can't pause if you're not interested in that month? Well, that sucks.

" this offer will be void if your plan is canceled or paused."
how exactly does that work?

it doesn't. They are using the same message as dec24 code, which can't be cancelled as it's a montlhy deal.
They just didn't update it.

The code only applies to those regions with a 30% price increase.
If you guys want that price increase just to get a minor discount for a year, please tell Humble. I'm sure they'll gladly get that arranged for you.

you can buy it as a gift and then add it onto your account, that's what I did, wish I did it back during chrsitmas promotion, you max out at 24 months on account though

I still have an unredeemed annual gift from back then, I wonder if it makes sense to buy this one to stock up. I think the "6 months for 6.something euro" promo has just ended, i.e. it was the last month, but who knows what they will offer next...
