Hello. I submitted a few user reports for Misuse of Trade Feedback in the Support section several weeks ago. It states the ticket is closed and the issue is resolved but the issue is still open and the false feedback is still there.

What are my steps and what should I do from here?

I don't think steamgifts moderates steamtrades anymore. I'm pretty sure steamtrades is now like a wild west free for all. I'm not sure why they still have that option to report someone.

I could be wrong. That is just what I have heard other users saying in all the threads about steamtrades for a while now.

That's odd, so why have the Support feature there at all? Hmmm...

Well it appears it is still active and the super moderator reviews and closes reports. I'm just not sure why my ticket was closed if the issue wasn't resolved. :/

Edit: I just noticed this thread posted one week ago - https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/a5A4U/new-support-users

They use to moderate it and that use to be a valid support ticket option. They could have just forgot to remove it or maybe they do still moderate steamtrades, I'm not sure. I'm just repeating what I have heard other users say in many threads.

I never knew that. I just spell it based on how I say it, so I will probably forget.

Those are support members for steamgifts though. Nothing is mentioned there about steamtrades. Steamgifts is overloaded with support tickets and that is probably the reason why steamtrades is no longer moderated.

Steamtrades is completely unmodderated atp, so support wont help you with it.

Well that totally sucks if true. I have false negative feedback on my profile that needs to be looked at by an admin to be removed.

I haven't used steamtrades in a while, but isn't there an option to reply to his negative rep? You can just explain what happened and why his negative rep is invalid. If your other feedback is positive, traders will probably see that and know that the -rep is not justified. Many of the traders probably already know that there is no moderation on the site and know that some -rep may not be valid.

I see what you're getting at. I replied to their negative feedback right after they've left it. Unfortunately I've come across too many traders that see /-3 and are like "Oh, I just saw you have negative feedback for being a scammer. Sorry, I changed my mind." Which doesn't help at all.

Yeah, it may not be fair, but you still have 129 positive. I have seen numerous posts in the discussions here talking about unjustified -rep on steamtrades, but nothing can be done about it. Most of the regular traders probably know that there is unjustified -rep going around and will read the -rep comment and make a decision.

The users that gave you a -rep have a lot of positive and no negative themselves which will makes things worse for you because people will see their stats and trust them more.

Which is garbage because we never traded! They virtually brigaded my reputation profile with no proof. And each time I am in a trade with someone I have to defend myself because of it.

I really hope they bring a support system back up for steamtrades because it desperately needs it.

If that is true and steamtrades is like the wild west with no moderation, I guess you could leave a -rep on their account explaining what happened. This would tarnish their perfect reputation and may encourage them to agree to remove the -rep from both of your accounts.

But it would go to community vote and I feel it would be removed from their feedback so what's the point?

I thought about doing that but I recall speaking with members here before and they all said it's called revenge negative feedback and it has the same punishment as the original negative feedback.

That's true, it is against the rules, but if there is no moderation, is there any punishment anymore? If the community votes that the feedback is invalid, is the feedback just removed or does the rule breaker also get suspended? I thought the feedback would just get removed, but if a suspension is given out based on the community vote, then I would not do it.

If it really bothers you, just trade on barter.vg indiegameswap, and/or lestrades instead. Steamtrades isn't the only option.
