HOLY SHIT

UPDATE: completely unexpectedly, it got greenlit in the very next batch.

That would be pretty nice. I never found a Cube copy, and the 360 download isn't something I want to pay for after problems with my account that Microsoft won't fix.

Hmm.. I might have to get this again.
It's a cool game, until you start playing for highscores and find out that the chaining -> score multiplier mechanism is actually shit because it's impossibly unforgiving.
Really: your score multiplier is the key in getting high scores, and one stray shot which pops the wrong enemy resets it to 0.

I also hope for that but am not as sure as you are with the generation of CoD players on Steam, downvoting everything that is not a 3D Minecraft/Slender clone :/ But hopefully, there will be enough oldschool gamers that will vote YES
EDIT: Well, I guess I was whining here a bit, I just remembered some of the great games that got greenlit lately. I hope the same will happen to Ikaruga soon ^_^

Did you see how many comments it got in a single day? No way it's not getting in the next greenlight batch.

Probably will be one of the fastest games to get greenlit for Steam, period.

Does it EVEN have to go through Greenlight?

You'd think not, but Valve are pretty fucking irrational when it comes to approving games.

I have no idea what it is but it looks the same as every other vertical shoot 'em up.

No, nothing that would make it better in any way.

Like most vertical shooters, it has it's own mechanics that make it unique.

In this case, the unique mechanic that should be obvious is the highly visible black/white polarity swapping, where you can absorb attacks of the same color to power your secondary attack/bomb and deal double damage to enemies of the opposite color (which matters against the bigger enemies).

Well, that game is like the father of the bullet hell type of vertical shoot em up.

Kinda like doom is to fps.

I wouldn't see it was completely unexpected.
I'd rather say it was totally expected.

Not shocked it got greenlit as fast as it did. In all truth that game should not have had to go through greenlight in the first place to be on steam.
