Well, this is Blizzard at their generous phase. I would have expected them to sell it as an individual game for 30-40 bucks.

Well, the original game is being given out for free, isn't it?
And the remaster doesn't make any improvements to QoL or gameplay either, correct?
So technically the game is free [and apparently the original game does have full cross-play with the remaster, removing any meaningful technical distinction between the two] and everything past that is just "gfx mods".
So I guess it's all about how you view generosity but, I for one certainly prefer it when optional cosmetic elements bear the brunt of a game's financial investment options. ^.^
Effectively layering cosmetics like this is definitely something specifically for the diehards, however, I'd think..

Love the look. But I don't play Starcraft anymore (SC2 splitting the campaign the way it did, along with no LAN play at launch, killed my enthusiasm for the franchise).

When I first heard about it, i thought it was awesome.
But, I also didn't think they'd charge for it.
Not that I don't appreciate the work that went into it, but we used to get overhaul mods like this from fan communities for free.
Doubt I'll be picking it up. :-/

StarCraft has received another makeover, this time taking the visuals in a completely different direction. Every map, building, character, etc. has been remade with CarBot Animations art. As a fan since the original, I've picked this up but have yet to play it. What are your thoughts on this?
