Are there still people who play DayZ mod for Arma II?

Are there still people who play DayZ mod for Arma II? You know, there is the new DayZ game so I'm pretty sure a lot of people changed the mod for standalone game. But there's a really nice sale for Arma II on Steam right now (80%). So I think about buying it (mainly because of the DZ mod) and need your answer.

I dunno, from what I hear the mod is better in some ways than the standalone. I always hear people complaining that the standalone one is buggy as hell

I heard that too. The standalone one is just in alpha so I don't wanna buy it now. I think the mod might be fun but only if there is some community.

the dayz mod is infinite beter than dayz standalone problem mainly is though the big decrease in players due to marathon/berrypickerZ and h1z1 and other games i geuss but this is just MY Opinion.

like i said its an opinion but ur free to discuss why standalone is better here though :) http://steamcommunity.com/app/221100/discussions/0/540744934257898527/?l=english al i can say is though based on what i have seen on twitch i would rather get H1Z1 than the standalone mod [yet again this is MY OPINION]

The mod is currently better than standalone - runs better, has more features. The interface and inventory systems in the mod are still clunky, though, and take some time to get used to.
