I can confirm that back in the old days (when I used my blacklist), I would blacklist people with a bad ratio as I became aware of them. So I'm sure it looked like I was blacklisting people just for making posts... but it wasn't the post itself, it was the fact that they showed their bad ratio.

People use blacklisting for lots of reasons. Some people use it as a way to say F.U., no doubt. Some people want a different winner for every one of their giveaways, so they blacklist anyone who wins one.
For me, it was always just a way to exclude certain people (mostly Level 1 people with 1 giveaway and 100+ wins, but also anyone who was an absolute jerk on the forums) from my giveaways. I wanted to limit my giveaways to people who were actually trying to give back to the site, either with giveaways or at least with a good attitude.
But for last year's amazing community train I cleared my blacklist... and then I just decided to keep it clear, because blacklists aren't worth the trouble to me anymore.
The best advice on blacklists is definitely "don't worry about blacklists." There's nothing you can do about them, and at the end of the day they don't mean anything.

A similar thing happens with rule-breakers and Support. Calling attention to yourself is not always a good idea.
P.S.(I almost never use my blacklist, either. Only the worst of the worst end up there.)

I'd say it was average, though I'm a bit happy that I could progress with my game. Still needs tons of animations though, but it's getting there!
Well, it's because of multiple things, partially because all the blacklists made me feel bad about this place, and because my grandpa died around then. So now we're living off my grandma's pension and my mother's disability pension (which is nearly nothing), and because of that I can't really just make giveaways even if I wanted to. But once I finish university and start working I might start doing giveaways again.

That is one of the biggest things I hate about SG.
Through the all lurking thread of getting blacklists, it's safer to stay silent all the time.
There were so many times, were I already wrote something and then deleted it again, which is really sad.
But now I've got ESGST which can hide blacklist stats, and so I don't care anymore
makes live way easier
