thanks a lot for the giveaway! =)
well, I'm more a fan of traditional platformers - i grew up in Europe in the '90s with mainly Nintendo consoles, so we spent years and years on donkey kong, super mario and so on.. yoshi's island, megaman.. =P but I love any kind of platformer! That looks great =)
Thank you <3

A Hat in Time is amazing, I'm really stoked for the DLC coming out on Sunday. Gears for Breakfast is winning me over as a developer too with them giving it away for free on launch

I initially like the game because it had interesting new mechanics, but as I played I got more and more bored. I really thought they were going to do more with the mechanics or the story, but it just ended up feeling flat. Overall I found the game really boring and did not enjoy it.

Yeah, I love 3d platformers. I grew up with Crash and Spyro. The newest 3d platformer I really liked was Alice Madness Returns. I also played Yooka Laylee, which I actually won here, and it was nice but it has a lot of flaws that make it not so nice. Tiny and Big was fun too, I played it a long time ago. But it was too short and simple to be anything special. For the price it goes, though, it's a must have for any 3d platformer fan out there.

3D Platformers is my favourite genre too. I like how they give you multiple smaller, dense worlds to explore. I also don't mind more linear approaches to the genre either, although the more open games are my preference.
The platformer genre is perfect for these dense varied worlds as they give you tons of fun abilities that make it enjoyable to do exploration, rather than making it feel like a chore going from point a to b.
I also like it when the sort of design philosophy is used in games that wouldn't necessarily be considered 3d platformers. One of my favourite examples is The Talos Principle which places it's puzzles in many mini worlds, all connected through a hub. It's a first person puzzle game, but very much gives the same vibe of a open 3d platformer. You can even do this sort of playstyle in 2D.

I really enjoyed this game, Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers mixes light platforming and physics together and forms something really unique. Growing up on games like Banjo Kazooie and the like made this my favorite kind of genre, I really wish there were more games of that nature being made.
