"Missing Base Game" of the game I actually own.

I have recently been gifted Magicka and with the plentiful of DLC giveaways about, I'd thought I'd try and bag me some. But unfortunately steamgifts does not allow this as it believes I do not own the base game for the DLC. How can I get through this problem so I can start entering for some lovely DLC?
