Actually, I did enjoy playing Demolition Derby back in the day. Wow that was almost 20 years ago, I guess I'm old.

Looks cool, maybe I'll give it a try. Crashing and driving are two separate things :D

Well, if you do it in a church during a service then it is illegal at least in the UK ("Indecent Exposure" in England and Wales, "Public Indecency" in Scotland), and in Italy (Criminal Code act #527). Not sure about Sweden, maybe you can get away with it over there.

I like the concept of racing games. I even bought a Logitech G27 wheel. I like driving real cars and find it easy and enjoyable (obviously when there's no traffic, and more so when the road is windy). With all that, I constantly crash on the PC, so much, that I hardly play my racing games. Do I qualify?

That's because you suck.
Also, you shouldn't compare driving IRL with driving in games. Even in simulators you probably go 200 kmp/h in ferrari, and i doubt you are going 200 kmp/h everyday, in your city, in ferrari.
Anyway, just train, and you will eventually learn.

I remember buying a Trust wheel, back when joysticks had a separate port (usually on the audio card, because it used the DB-15 port also used for MIDI). Well, that didn't help, I would crash anyway :D
Maybe today it would be possible to simulate a realistic driving experience using VR goggles and a special seat with motors, but I wouldn't want to fit that into my living room...
Also, sure you qualify :D

Dude, if that helps, I sucked at first grid. My drift cars was making close friendship with walls, and lmp2 cars was going oversteer even on straight line. But with time, with few races loose and with patience... guess what - I dont suck anymore. I'm kinda good :D
Same was with FR cars in Gran Turismo 5 and later 6. Damn, I was bad, but I figured it out. The most important thing is that you can't let the game beat you. I know that after few crashes sometimes you have enough but go on. I would recommend on taking on track day (you know, lets call time trial) and go, take corners slowly. When you will know track, then go faster, and faster and faster, then do it with another track, then with another car. After some time you wont suck. Just dont give up.

Well, horses are to slow. you can't ride dogs or pets (you can some, but won't). and solar powered cars are either too expensive or can't cover enough distance.
honestly? electric sounds great, and it's really better than petro car, but you are just moving the fossil burning elsewhere. the same with hydrogen. even more sad, is that you cannot build a complete electric grid and replace all of the cars, the current infrastructure will collapse.
i really am up for novelty, but i have yet something that will me make say: "this is the future, this is the car I WANT".
and one of the main requirement for my car is low fuel to distance, and low air pollution.

:)
actually, there is something called a solar foil (or similar) can't find it in google.
but you just "ride" the solar waves in space... Sci-fi ofcourse

I like racing games. In fact, I like racing in general. There is something special about having a machine that, in a sense, lets you go over your limits and experience things that you would never be able to without them (I mean, nobody is going to be running at 200+ km/h, I don't think :D). Plus, some of the crashes that happen are just spectacular. And there is plenty of noise, so that's cool!
I guess it just boils down to me liking loud 'vroom vroom' noises and fast things, heh.

Good! I cycle too occasionally, but I've been walking most of the time now (it's only about a mile).
Partly it's because of the unreliable weather - in the same day we may have sun, rain, thunderstorm, sandstorm, drought, flood, famine, fallout, explosion.
...But mostly it's because the road winds uphill all the way. Both ways.

I like racing games, and I actually do some light real-world racing, but on two wheeled machines. I agree, who needs 1400 kg to move a small person? I weigh less than 60 kg, and a 160 kg machine is a better match. Also much cheaper! I got my current bike for slightly over 1000€, and to have the same amount of fun on a track would require a much more expensive car.
I get around the city by foot, distances are close enough.

Racing is not my forte.
Never been into driving, or cars for that matter.
If you think about it, we are still using a variant of the steam engine and burning fossil fuels, just like over a century ago. And how comes that I need a 1400 Kg machine just to transport my body, which weights 60 Kg?
Anyway, if you like racing, cars, and the smell of burnt petroleum, read between the lines here and drive safe!
