Today I got my first scam attempt as well! :')

Yea, a lot of peoples add me with private profiles and they send me an fake link to steam community...

u propably used tf2outpost or website like that. Happend to me too. So I close trades and im searching trades in 2nd way. After 2, maybe 3 weeks of blocking I got maybe 1 invite per week.

Someone tried it though the out of the blue friend request plus trying to link me to a mispelled steam link was all the sign that something was amiss.

i get friend requests every 2-3 hours..

I got an invite. Added the guy and the bot instantly posted his little phrase. I said nice try and next thing i know it spams the phrase like 6 times. Seems like the bot fucked up.

yep i got 4 of these yesterday alone and usualy 1-2 a day for the last week. always the samething as u descvribed and they always have one game on profile and its ALWAYS east india trading whatever bs. i just acept them and then copy their message with link to valve via the report option and choose suspected hijack/phishing attempt

I just don't add people anymore , I get a ton of invites a day as well, but with the trade link system I never need to add anyone now.

I got about 30 bot invites and all blocked. Shame the block list is going to be thousand,and i dont know whos stalking me...
