Free War of The Roses: Kingmaker for people subscribed to the War of The Roses Paradox newsletter.

The e-mail was sent to the people who are subscribed to the War of the Roses newsletter (which mostly consists of people who signed up during the Alpha and Beta). So you are correct, it's separate from the forum newsletter. I have 200hours in the game, so my oppinion won't really mater, but you can try the demo.

I thought it was much better than Chivalry. I like the experience point/gold system a lot more and also, as everyone says, ranged combat is so much better. People say Chivalry is more visceral because of the first person view - but I actually would disagree because the execution animations in War of the Roses are far more brutal.

AFAIK people with the game already, got the Kingmaker for free long time ago. (atleast i have)

I think they randomly pick a couple of people because I have 15 games registered on their website (including wotr), I am subscribed for their newsletter, I`m ~active on their forum, but I did not win this one. :P

Did you tried resync your account ?

Same here. I installed it duting the free wkeened some months ago and despite I synch and delete the files from my pc, it says I already have it.
