been a fan of RTS games ever since I played Red Alert. I remember playing online at a time where my connection was a shitty 36.6 kbps dial up modem and the ranking were handled by Cases Ladder (I think it was one of the first if not the first game ranking sites). Whenever I see RTS games it all comes back to me, the frantic clicking and mouse positioning to out build the opponent by a single tank, it made all the difference when you rushed their base. I gave up on competitive gaming after a year in that (and to my wife's eternal sorrow found MMO's - starting with meridian59) ..... sigh now I feel old :)
