He really wants to impress her, so he goes to hire a suit, but there's a long suit line. He waits and gets a great suit.
Then he goes and hires a luxury car for the night, but there's a long hire car line. He waits and gets a very luxurious car.
At the dance, he offers his date a drink, and she wants punch. He goes to get her a drink, but there's no punch line.
