Do people feel dirty when they activate codes like that? I mean, it's extremely rare to see the "Hey, I activated X - thanks!" message, both as a thanks to the giver and a courtesy to those coming later.
I think bots scan site for steam codes all the time regardless of when the codes are written/posted/edited.
Would not be hard to make such a bot at least.
