i'd say, you can gift the base game to someone as long as it isn't a seperate giveaway, if you have the season pass as a seperate key it would be enough for me

it is a tough desicion one one hand you have an unused key and if the cv is important to you you could post another giveaway, on the other hand you would get double the cv for a key that you give twice ... im unsure about it, thats why i wouldnt post another giveaway

Yes, its a grey area.

Normaly you are forced to send all of the bundle (that it fits to your made GA) but if the winner say "i don't need the base game because i have it" then it isn't forbidden that you use it for a GA or give it to a friend.

At least is that how i seen it got handled in a few other cases.

I checked your profile and expected to see a "new(er)" user and were surprised about the 9 years at sg.
I assume you were a big part of that time inactive, if i base it on your made Giveaways.

You can question me or in the discussions if you have questions.

And because i seen all your GA's i want to advice you to set a minimum req. level for the public GA's.
Each one that gave ONE game away, that wasn't free, are at least level 1.
That way you would avoid at least a good part of the worst rulebreakers and black sheeps and have in the end lesser problems with the winners.
Easy said, with each level higher it gets better.

To your thoughts about level 4 GA's.
I made very long lvl 2 GA's and had more and more problems, right now i make lvl 4 or 5 GA's when i do public GA's and that reduce my work and stress after the GA's a lot. So i can totally support that.
But in the end i prefer to give in my group because i don't need a level filter there. All the members there are checked from myself with the help of different sites and my own "black sheeps" list (at that list are as example people that use 30 accounts and bots to grab freebies at different sides -and of course have high sg levels-, use multiple accounts and such stuff).

Maybe take a look and see if the rules fit for you Masafors Group of Friends

Hello BeyondJaded. I was reading the comments and I wanted to take a minute to chime in. For this situation if the winner has the base game already and you have separate DLC keys, then just give the DLC keys. There's no reason to provide the base game key to the winner if they own it already. Just make sure that all the DLC for the "Game of the year edition" is being delivered.

As far as if it were only 1 key that includes both the DLC and game, if the winner had the base game it would still activate the DLC for them.

It's your key, I don't see any issues with making a giveaway with the base game if the winner already owns it.
