I wrote this silly wolfy poem a few years back:

A wolf devoured the moon today:
he currently howls in regret.

A lesser poet might describe the beast
in overindulgent detail
or ponder the loss of luminescence,

but I just wonder
about the logistics here:
a celestial body shouldn't fit, even inside a very good boy.

It seems the longing lupus agrees: twitching ears of indigestion
celebrate the stillborn darkness.
