I actually didn't know about binary addition, I was always turning them into decimals first. Thanks.

Cool. I'm glad it made sense!

Nice one, looks like you put some great effort to make it understandable for everyone :-)

That was EXCELLENT!

I ACTUALLY learned how to understand binary logic! Bravo stlpaul!

I'm happy to hear it! I tried to explain it as I was taught many years ago, in the way that finally "clicked" with me.

Just a reminder.. in the result area of ITH also put direct link to my ending ga with passcode for those that cant access your train if they are BL..

My blacklist is empty. :) But I'll add it anyway in case people don't care about the GA's and just do the puzzles.

Well sure if BL is empty then you don't necessarily have to...

Did you see the teaser I posted for the next Puzzle Agency case a few days ago? ;P
This was a good warmup for people. :)

New case is up. Logic gate puzzle is the 2nd one, and I'm promoting your puzzle in it because you did such a wonderful job explaining logic gates, much better than I ever could. :)

That was too easy, but considering I studied IT it's to be expected ;) Great to introduce simple binary logic to newbies tho, so GJ! :>

Thanks! At least you didn't find any huge mistakes in it. :) I was trying to make it more educational than difficult, to keep with the spirit of the event. So far a majority of participants have solved it, so I think it's not too difficult for the n00bs. Unless they were scared away and didn't even try. :P

well, I didn't read the introduction/guide part so there may be mistakes I didn't notice ;) I simply didn't need it ;)

only think I would do different in future would be making answers more complex ;) Q1,2,8,9 can be bruteforced without even thinking about them ;)

But surely people wouldn't ignore the mental challenge and just try to get free games on this site, right? :P

I stopped bruteforcing at "aafdjkf" :-(.

I have to admit I got through by applying my existing math knowledge logically (knowing nothing about logic gates and not bothering to read the wall of text) but I must've done something right to get through in the end :P thanks for the train!

I had trouble figuring out how to solve Question 3, then bang I realised I was stupud. Solved ther rest under 10 minutes tho.

P.S: The puzzle is nice overall, but focusing only on binary arithmetic and logic gates for a Computer Science themed puzzle is kind of, a bad move. I was expecting more like algorithms, languages, graph theory , networking or cryptography.

Thanks for the puzzle! I had to look up how to add, but everything else was easy enough and explained nicely (for the addition, I simply didn't realize I could just make it 9 digits long, I thought it had to be 8 max, and then the whole 1+1 thing didn't make sense anymore ^^)

I didn't quite get the binary addition, but after checking wikihow I finally understood what to do :P
