Yeah i want to learn japanese because of Animes/mangas so I dont need to wait for the subs .

One day, I would like to travel to japan ^^ but I don't want to visit the common tourist spots only, I want to see the rural areas as well and I'm well aware that the people there might not speak english :3 And it's always nice to be able to chat with people in their native language ^.^
So, one day, I really need to learn japanese!

Too much manga doesn't trade in french, learn japanese could be really useful and interresting (for news about japan too, but too hard I think)

I love how Japanese language sounds.

I like languages in general. It would be nice to have some basic understanding if I go towards Japan. So just an generic reason.

Most of what I "watch" is anime. (English subs. No dubs, please!) I've seen enough that I understand a bit, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to actually learn the language.

I'd like to learn how to read the newspaper and scientific literature, since they have news and research that is well beyond some of our technology back home. I think it was a new maglev bullet train that is in development, possibly 10x faster than current rail tech that could make current 4-6 hour trips in just 1-2. Cool stuff.

I want to read untranslated visual novels because there's quite a lot of those, and the translation process is very slow.
And watching raw anime is kinda nice I suppose.

To be able to read games that will likely never release here and aren't popular enough to be fan translated (Dragon Quest Theatrythm, as a random example) would be great.

Also it just sounds way cooler than any other language when spoken IMO.

I'm going into game design, so I'd like to be able to read and hear a lot more of what Shigeru Miyamoto has to say, along with many others. A lot of game design knowledge comes from Japan.

I love everything that comes from the rising sun world! i love the cloth, the language, the traditions, the temples, the nature, the technology in Akihabara and ofc manga/anime! (? would love to learn to talk, read and write in katakana, hiragana and kanji (even when it's so dang hard). since I love watching anime I've learned a lot of single words but still dunno the grammatical part for be able to form sentences, but well I can't complain haha.
I could recommend a lot of titles to watch but would be better if u tell me into what kind of animes u are into, or at least those who have watched and liked so I can suggest a couple more!
