I really enjoyed the summer sale where we had achievements tied to specific games. I'm not an achievement hunter, but it was a nice incentive to replay old favorites like Psychonauts.

Yeah, I save all my stupid cards for six months, watching all that garbage disappear from my inventory was great... :) I was originally expecting to have a lot more by now, but Valve restricting trading cards to "real games" changed things a bit... :) Now you can buy all the 5 cent garbage you like, but you'll never see any cards from it... :) Oh well...

I'll have to hire a puzzle assistant next time, or maybe a puzzle ghost-writer, so I can bask in the glory of someone else's hard work... :) Plus, that way I could be sure only to submit puzzles I was able to solve myself. :)
Which reminds me, once I had the idea to see if someone like Umberto Eco could be hired to make a puzzle. :) Full of misunderstandings, confusion, multiple meanings, red herrings, apparent dead ends... But no dumb luck or random guessing, every step connected logically, you can see when you're making progress, and the answer is dead simple once you have finally collected all the pieces...
But fortunately he's dead, so I won't be able to play the part of internet lunatic pestering the famous author... :)

I've always thought there should be an option for the giver to join his own GA's and if he wins he gets to keep the game for himself. On the other hand you can always delete the GA at the last moment, pretend you won and activate the key yourself :p I guess a chance is better than no chance :D

I've been tempted more than once to get a PS4 just for Bloodborne, but Persona 5 looks like a lot of fun too... :) But then I'd want a PS3 to play Demon's Souls... :( If I could buy one single thing that would play all the good console-exclusive stuff, it would be a lot more difficult to resist... For now it looks like I'm waiting on some future pc that's powerful enough to emulate everything... Sigh...

In the SGTools trains I make, I usually have a fake bump that leads to a final hidden car. The discrepancy in entries between the last car and the real last car is no less than 1/3. And that bump is there, clearly in the open, one just has to click on it.

Think the last obvious one I did was https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/CSLoQ/otakus-fantasy but it's the same conclusion every time I've tried it - the vast majority of Steamgifts users don't read a single word, ever. Sigh.

If you like to wander around and carefully explore, and read all the things, it will take longer. But if you're just looking for the finish line, it's a short game. According to Steam I played it for ten hours, but a few of those were from idling before I played it, and alt-tabbed out reading stuff. I guess you could finish in five hours? There's a lot of stuff to read, though... So I guess it depends... :)

My memory's a bit hazy on the details now, but apparently some people were violently allergic to the idea that "Gone Home" even existed, and they made sure everyone else knew it... :) So if you were one of those, you'd probably hate Tacoma. :)
