As a contributor I fell like you have a better knowing of steamgifts rules, so you already that it needs to be activated in your account.
But also as a I know you have better conscience than to enter a giveaway of a game that you will never play. I myself have entered giveaways thinking of friends that might come over, brothers, sisters etc.
So as long that you activate in your account, I really don't mind if you play alone, with somebody, or even only 3 months from now, especially if you are a contributor that made this site as awesome as it is.
