Oh wow! This game brings me right back to when I was a kid!! My buddies and I would spend hours exploring caves in our local area. We'd make a whole day of it, packing snacks, gearing up with flashlights and ropes (because, of course, safety was never a priority when you’re young and reckless). The air down there was always cool and damp, and you never really knew what you were going to find and some days it was nothing, other times we’d stumble across hidden rocks or underground streams that felt like real-life treasure.
My best friend back then Jimmy was always the leader of our little group! LOL he was the one who knew where to go and how to keep the rest of us out of trouble (mostly). Then, right after middle school, he ended up moving away. It hit me harder than I thought it would, because we didn’t just stop hanging out, we stopped exploring together. But me? I kept going. I still explored those old caves, just without the crew. And let me tell you, there’s something different about it!!! You realize how much you miss the people you’ve done it with.
Winning this game, Goblet Cave is honestly feeling like a piece of that feeling I didn’t think I’d ever get back. Justseeing this game EXISTS it’s like finding a small chunk of that old world, but digitally you know? I can’t even explain how surreal it is to think about how a game like this takes me back to those simpler days. It’s like rediscovering home, in a way I never expected to feel again.
you know.. now I can’t help but wonder if it’s time to track down Jimmy. Maybe reconnect with that old friendship we lost touch with. We were really good at exploring caves back then, and now I feel like I need to dig into that past to see if there's more to unearth! haha Funny how a game about cave exploration can have such a deep pull on something that’s been buried inside me for so long. It really makes you think about digging through your own dark tunnels, right?? The ones we all have, no matter where we’re at in life. We're all just cave diggers in the end trying to get to the heart of who we are.
Anyway, thanks for the chance!
