And after the game was removed from the store, a code distribution event was held where each person received 4 codes, and many people have already received them.

That's right, the Evolve Stage 2 servers have been shut down. But wouldn't it be possible to play the game if I change the game properties to LEGACY EVOLVE?

I legit didn't know, I used to play Evolve, I liked Evolve, but I watched it die after the first microtransaction death-of-1000-cuts, then it went F2P with Stage 2 and died due to massive imbalance/P2W issues. It was still a fun game though.
So yeah, I was just confused, thought maybe the game was making a comeback or another company had bought rights to host servers, or some random good Samaritan/pirate was hosting a new server to attract the few 100 players that loved the game. No need to delete, not trying to shame you or anything (an old key is an old key, you can do whatever you want with it), I just wanted to clarify what the current state of the game is, both for my own knowledge and for whomever wins your giveaway. Cheers mate!
I got the key for this game half a year ago in Steam community. I suppose that some creators of this game secretly sharing keys in attempt to be ready for returning Evolve to Steam)))
