Solution
Antonio Maniotti was a 'fine gentleman'. "There are several agents who could have been capable of murdering the man", says the Diplomat. Not so strange that he is the very person to say that. Because he is no longer 100% trustworthy to the Puzzle Agency. Even more to the point, he is about to double-cross them. The shrewd Maniotti catches on and demands money. The Diplomat writes him a note, waits for him and shoots him dead. As a result of your reasoning, he emerges as the only one without an alibi.

Holy potatoes!

I tried one other person with 2 different motives before I seen the note was written in English and my first person had an alibi :D I didnt think I would solve this one. Another cool way of doing puzzles though thanks I liked that! :)

I think the hardest part was the motive, I tweaked the note a bit after revilheart's test playthrough to make it a bit more clear. That and the fact that the victim had a habit of blackmailing people (the colonel) hopefully made it clear enough.

Very well worked puzzle D:
It seems all the agents were very romantic in their first night in the mansion xd

The only hard thing was the motive, took me 2 tries because of that but overall it was very logic EZPZ :3. Did i say i loved it?

Likewise, the motive was the only challenge. But great, original puzzle Nordh!

I ended up using a pencil and paper to eliminate the suspects, although I also had problems with the correct motive

I completely skipped telegram parts, heh. And was thinking "How on earth do I know their real names?!' (still deduced that Forensic should be a woman).
And yes it was very romantic (losing a stud and an earring!, heh).
P.S. I wonder if there are some errors here:
There has been a brutal murder in the mansion, and the killer is still at large. You need to figure out which of the 8 agents that (one too many?) performed the crime.
Explore the mansion, listen to the testimonies of both the suspects and the staff, and send for (no need?) telegrams for info about the agents directly from the Puzzle Agency headquarters. We need to secure the safe house before more murders are commited (committed?).

That: Changed to "who".
For: You send out for telegrams. Like ask the agency to send a report on person X. I think this is correct.
Commited: Yes, should be committed.
Thanks for the report. :)

I still think anything (that/who) in this sentence 'You need to figure out which of the 8 agents that/who performed the crime.' is not necessary. Because the subject (?) is already given = 'which of the 8 agents'.
And yes telegrams are ok :)
Over and out.

Saying it out loud, it feels weird removing the word. Almost like stumbling on the sentence. I don't know. Perhaps you're right. It's at least not a vital error if so. :P

Had some trouble with the motive, the rest was easy. Thanks for another fun puzzle!

A few tries for the motive, finding the killer through elimination was pretty easy (:

Loved it, even if it did take me two tries :)

I was somehow misread things and thinking that the Diplomat is in the dining room with the Heiress and the murderer is the Colonel who is without alibi (blame Euro 2016 match for that).
But since I tried and failed, re-read everything, finally found out that the Diplomat is the one without alibi as for the motive have to tried between Espionage and Blackmail.

Also struggled with the motive, got it on the third try. Thanks for the puzzle :D

Haha, love it when people play on words. :) Makes it more special than copy-paste Thanks!
