Hello and welcome to the madness!
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in two months.

The prize: 2x Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.

Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.

Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

FAQ:

Why you doing this?

I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over eight years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.

I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?

No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.

Can I play a MP only game?

No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.

If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?

No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.

Why six games?

The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.

How long are you going to do this?

Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.

This event "ends" on August 6th when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.

The Quarry October 2023	Started: June 8th / Finished: july 23rd	Epilogue:"Witnessed the Epilogue"	Been branching out and playing more horror, but I am still bad with it lol. Will play a chapter at a time. I like the look and graphics of the game, it looks like an interesting story. Issue with deleted game file, had to replay the first 2 chapters. Bit spooked but liking the game so far. I am playing on an easier difficulty though with hold breath event turned off to make it easier for myself. Good story, but I am still terrible with horror games.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow April 2024	Started: July 6th / Finished: July 12th	Abraxas Rex	Whoops,overestimated how much time I would have and also going on a holiday later in the month. Will see if I manage to finish the challenge in time. This game started out tame but but became stranger and more messed up nearing the end. Strange little game.
Amanda the Adventurer May 2024	Started: July 7th / Finished: July 7th	The End. Meet the sunrise.	Oh boy, thought it would just be a fun and lighthearted point and click game.... lmao, this is cursed and needs an exorcist. Someone save poor little Wooly D: Played through most endings, expect for the secret all special tapes ending. Hope this still counts as "Beaten the game".
Bee Simulator July 2021	Started: July 14th / Finished: July 15th	The Exodus	Love that the suggested name to pick was "Beescuit", I adore bad puns. Voice acting is a bit meh. But so far having fun in the game. Was a good bit into the game and quit to take a break. Upon restart entire save is gone. Supposed to auto save, but it messed up. Really frustrating that everything is wiped :/ was at 70% of the story. File recovered after reinstall. Will finish it in one go now, afraid it will break again. Bit repetitive sometimes, but still had fun.
Little Nightmares September 2018	Started: July 15th / Finished: July 19th	The Lady's Quarters	Have over an 1 hour of idling for cards. Adore the little nightmares games. Watched walkthroughs of them way back so already knew the storyline, that is why it took me so long to play it. Wanted it to not be fresh in my memory so I would find more enjoyment in playing it myself. Absolutely love the environment en mood of the game. The cute yet gruesome style is very recognisable. Did get a bit wonky with having to replay a part I thought I passed a save point for and upon restart haddend, but oh well. Still absolutely loved it and forget a few things so was nice to play through it myself for the first time after watching the playthrough long ago.

The Henry Stickmin Collection / Started on June 5th / Finished✔ on June 7th The story ends ("Get all 164 Fails in Completing the Mission" - to obtain this achievement you need to open all endings).	Before playing: It's a collection of remastered flash games from late 2000s. Oh, boy! Do I need to install antivirus and then un-quarantine exe file? Does the game work otherwise? After playing: In the end it's a collection of ancient memes and unashamed slapstick humor but with a plot branching out so widely by your choices that it would make Quantic Dream and Telltale Games green from envy.
Fashion Police Squad / Started on June 6th / Finished✔ on June 7th You're a Winner, Baby! (Complete all of the story missions).	Before playing: I remember how some years ago I made a case to my brother that boomer shooters are on the rise because I can name 5 of them off the top of my head. Now I count all boomer shooters that I know to fall asleep. After playing: A common boomer shooter if you don't count heavy investment into "the theme". Even still I can't help but think that the genre is surely oversaturated when months if not years of work are thrown into one mildly funny joke in hopes of going viral.
Hi-Fi Rush / Started on June 9th / Finished✔ on July 2nd Who's the boss now? (Beaten final boss achievement. I didn't get the achievement for beating all levels on "hard" cause the first half of the game I went through on "very hard". I find it kind of odd choice cause it means that for 100% you'd also need to finish every level deliberately on "easy" and "normal" since there are separate achievements for those difficulties).	Before playing: Upbeat rhythms will surely sound like dirges when you know that it's the last game of Tango Gameworks, the very last. Playing: Took me a while to finish, mostly because the game needed to chip away at my pride and force me to lower difficulty from "very hard" to "hard". Some regrets here! Cause sometimes I felt that I started to use only one/two combos I learnt and overuse sidekick's abilities. But it's my things. About the game: again unique, brave and competent work from Tango Gameworks! and... it's destined to be niche and underappreciated even in better worlds where such originality wouldn't get punished. "Original" means "unfamiliar" and people naturally have reservations about such feels.
The Suicide of Rachel Foster / Started on June 10th / Finished✔ on June 11th All together, again (complete the game)	Before playing: I feel like I have an obscene number of walking simulators in my library. How the hell did we come to this? I need to start to clear them out. After playing: As I was playing I even felt guilt for my uncalled dismissiveness for the genre. There was atmosphere, there was intrigue, even tension... And then ending came (rather fast, I must say). Years later all I'll remember about this game is that I had to WALK to a narrative equivalent of saying "hey!" to someone's "hey!" and then catching their awkward glance cause they weren't addressing you.
⭐The Quarry / Started on June 16th / Finished✔ on June 22nd Rough Night (Kept everyone alive).	Before playing: I was under impression that "The Quarry" was the best game of Supermassive Games (after "Until Dawn", of course), I rechecked and It turns out it's the worst one (before "Little hope", of course). But when I re-rechecked, the results flipped again! After playing: What elevates "The Quarry" for me is that this time they didn't bet on ending or near-ending twist. Here you are allowed to understand main story components and how they interact much earlier. You are still role-playing as a B-movie characters (btw always well-acted) but now you have additional, "plot", dimension to consider in your decisions. And even though all choices are still a fair bit illusory, but at least you're saved from "lol, you played it all wrong, dummy" moment at the very finale, right before credits.
Epistory - Typing Chronicles / Started on June 28th / Finished✔ on June 30th Desert Dream (endgame achievement, its title alludes to the final reveal It was all a coma dream duh).	Before playing: Tags: typing and narrative! I suspect they won't trust the player with choosing words to type, cause we all know in that case it's going to get kindergarten funny and a little bit sexual. After playing: I thought I was tough at typing until my right ring finger cramped at "apologetic" lol - ouch! It still hurts!

Kingdom New Lands	April 2017	Completed - Birth of a reign	Build, expend, conquer. Very simple design, you travel left or right and build barriers to protect your growing kingdom. Died on my first run because I thought I could take my time, will give it a 5/10 - very shallow mechanics and gets old fast.
Kingdom Two crowns	March 2021	Completed? I am Equestrian	Oh boy, I was hopeful for this one after having played the first installment. Hm, how do I say this. Upgrades for sure but SO MUCH FRUSTRATION. You keep the same and you go over, just this time, the time continue to fly by when you travel from one island to another. I say travel, but you actually crash-land every time.. how quaint. Basically, if you think you can go to the former island to solve puzzle, destroy the portals and then go to the next island, you're dead wrong, if the RNG sets up the next island with a poor placement, you will lose, you just don't know it yet - give it an hour or two. It's a time sink, the perfect embodiment of "one more turn". No unit upgrades, no target priority, no building order, no unit placement. 4/10 - not recommended.
Citizen Sleeper	March 2024	Completed - A LONG JOURNEY TO A SMALL UNKNOWN PLANET	It's a mix of VN and RPG, a Narrative adventure I think. I like cyberpunk, I like distopian futures, I like reading and I like RPGs so it seemed like the perfect game. Well it is good, but sadly flawed too. Narration and characters are great, the RPG element is forgettable, my biggest grief lies in the heavy RNG and the static portraits. But still, a good game. 7/10
Death's Gambit: Afterlife	February 2020	Completed Death's Gambit	Exactly what I needed, a satisfying metroidvania with RPG elements. Good characters, great pixel art and design, ok story (with 4th wall thingy), Boss rematches for diehards and even a boss rush! 9/10
Deponia Doomsday	October 2016	Completed And everything comes full circle.	I played Deponia a while ago, and completed the original trilogy when the Complete Journey came out. I was sad but satisfied with the ending, apparently though, people were not, and this game kicks off exactly at the end of the first trilogy. Simply put: I loved it as much as the first three. I highly recommend this point&click series. 9/10.
