Back when I worked my Office Job, every day was an ongoing avalanche of calls and fixes and tracking and reminding and following up. It seemed pretty straightforward. I wasn't overburdened, but I had a lot to do and a lot to check up on and lots of ducks to keep in their lines.

It's been a few years since I retired from that, and now if I have one thing to do outside my normal routine I start procrastinating and dodging and eventually things get frantic because that form was supposed to be filed yesterday and we thought you weren't going to move ahead with this and and and. I had five or six official calls to make and things to check up on and they've been stressing me out for a week now. So yesterday and today I just, you know, made the calls and sent the emails and scheduled the appointments. Honestly, it all took under an hour mostly.

Life is silly.
