He won a game from me that would have been his seventh win. He finally accepted it today and activated it - his wins are now 8. Do I need to mention that to him (about leaving the group)? Or do you keep on top of that and I can forget about him :)

you do not need to mention it to a winner.
I check every now and then and kick users, that won their 8th giveaway and did not request to stay as gifter.
