We're into a hot August rhythm now, weather-wise: hot by day, maybe a little hotter than I'd like, and cooler at night, but not as cool as we could wish. It's a better option than the crazy extremes of recent weeks, and if we're lucky we might be done with the flood-rains for the summer.

We managed to do all four of our outdoor "As You Like It" shows this year. Last summer we did "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and two of the shows were rained out. After a couple of catch-up rehearsals this week we'll open the show inside the theater, for a two-week run. We'll miss the extremes, both highs and lows, of performing outside, but the piece should grow inside where we don't have to yell at the tops of our lungs the whole time.
