Go create something.

Please allow giveaway deletion for <5 entries.

Hi stardustsunday.

As a mod of MGoF steam group, I have to warn you to

  1. Please not enter any further giveaways for this group
  2. Remove your current entries from any giveaways of this group you're in.

...until your gift difference is better than -$50, which you can check here. You can fix that by making group giveaways.

This is according to Group Rule 3A: If someone wins from the group at SG and their gift difference is below -$50, they lose the right to enter more SG group GA's until their gift difference are more positive than -$50.

Have a nice day.

Oh I see - thanks for informing me. I didn't know about that rule. I was invited to join this group quite some time ago. Is it possible to remove myself from this group but continue to make giveaways for this group?

Hi stardustsunday,
i know you are a longtime member of my group :o)
It was recommended in the past to subscribe to the discussion https://steamcommunity.com/groups/MasasGoF/discussions/0/1652170487947948564/ that all rule changes and so on can be seen.
Since the new rules it changed from recommended/adviced to a rule because we aren't able to inform the members, that don't use discord, in a different way.

I made the sg thread, the steam discussion thread, the mainpage of the group had always the newest rules and/or a link to the discussions. I don't know how i should inform the members more/better, to write each one separate isn't a option, and i think the way i done it was much more as all other groups out there do it.

Now to your question:
No, none can't remove himself from the group but still do group GA's. That's technical impossible.

But i don't think it is needed to remove yourself from the group. Special because you want to do giveaways.

Only don't enter new group Giveaways till you made a few Giveaways and all are fine :o)
And after your stats are better as -$50 you are, always, free to enter GA's till you are worse as the maximum of -$50.

I, as example, made a bunch of GA's to be in the "high" positive field with the stats that i can win a few GA's before i need to check my stats because i like it relaxed ans stressfree.

Do I also have to remove myself from giveaways for this group that I'm on the whitelist for? E.g. Someone makes a giveaway for this group + their whitelist, and I'm on their whitelist

This is a very good question because none brought up that question before and it is new land for us now.
I would say Yes, if the person is in the group, because if a GA get won the statistics will drop further.
If the person isn't in the group it is of course allowed to enter all WL GA's that are combined with the group.
But please remember that the group statistics drop in the background and if that person join, later, the group (again), the statistics will have that wins calculated in the group statistics. That's automatic at sg and we haven't a influence at it and can't change that.

As example:
I enter and win 3 GA's of someone because he have me at his Whitelist and he make that 3 GA's for the Lootboy group too, then my stats at this Lootboy group drop in the background if i am in that group or not.
Let's say i weren't in the Lootboy group and join it after one year, then my statistics there will show -3 won and -$xxx (value of the 3 won games).

I repeat, thats a automatic thing from steamgifts, that we can't change in some way :o(

I hope the answers help you and because i like you and we know us so long i hope too that we don't loose you as a goup member.
