Description

Kept you waiting, huh?

Oh look, I lied. Turns out I did buy this game after all. So if you're one of those lazy can't read don't care just give me the free stuff wthog people, would you kindly take a look at the store page? :)

See? It's a visual novel. Full of words. One of those reading games. Trying to win a visual novel when you can't read makes Baby Jesus cry. So let's no do that, ok? :)

Hmm, since I already asked if you had any Summer Sale regrets, how about... What's the best decision you made in this sale? Hopefully it was deciding not to buy Littlewitch Romanesque, so you could win it instead... :)

Good luck! :)

Didn't like Visual Novels at first but after trying a few of them, now I actually enjoy them. Thanks for the opportunity fiftykyu. :)

I'm cheering for you! I hope the winner plays. (not entering dont judge me <333) I guess the best decision I made was not buying things that were under a 75% discount. With my backlog I really didn't need to buy anything but I have no self control. :x

Aha, wish I'd remember to do that, bought a bunch of cheap garbage on the first day, and can't remember the name of a single one. :( Already have enough cheap garbage for several lifetimes... :)

Good idea! :) Also, if you're lucky they will have a bigger discount then... :) I keep buying stuff and not playing, would save a lot of money by waiting until I'm actually going to play... :) But then I'd never buy anything... :)

I'm almost don't buy anything this sales (hunie pop, ame no marginal and narcissu OST) but from some years ago:
recettear: 100h+ this game is worst than cocaine (3€)
metro 2033: awesome! (2,5€
)
Victoria II: 400h+ (3€~)

Hmmmmm, I forgot about Recettear, thought it was fun but hmm, I don't remember what. Maybe I started playing something else and forgot to go back to it, that's usually what happens...

Oh, I never finished the Metro games either. :( I remember playing the first one, and having to turn down a bunch of graphics options... :) But I never went back to it after upgrading, not sure why. Think it looked interesting, too. :(

Aha, interesting, didn't play much of the Victoria games... I thought the first one was fun, but somehow I put a lot more time into Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings or Hearts of Iron... Guess I could take another look some time, but most likely I'll just forget about it in a few hours... :(

Good luck! :)

Hmm, couldn't bring myself to buy Tomoyo After, played Clannad with some fan translation, but didn't touch my Steam copy yet. :( Think I've got to be in the right mood for that sort of thing again...

Looks like Season of 12 Colors is in my library, though. Don't remember buying it, wonder if it was in a bundle?

Yes, good choice! But if you don't win, keep an eye out for another sale because it's fun... :)

I'm guessing it will last precisely six months, same as most of the other badge junkies... :) And don't you think the "300" badge looks nicer than the "200" one? :) It's an endless treadmill, only a lucky few remember they can get off... :)

It's a short, fun light visual novel. There are a lot of references to World War 2. I've finished 2 routes in 4 hours and i'm having a lot of fun with the game. :3

Comment has been collapsed.

Aha, I tried it, it was pretty silly... :) Nice and short, and didn't take itself seriously, which helps... :)

Hmm, maybe that's the problem with garbage like Time Tenshi. It's a dumb boobie game, so stop trying to make a serious story about saving the world. Just make it dumb and run with it... :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

At least Time Tenshi has big boobies :v lol

If you want to try a good VN you could try Everlasting Summer on Steam. It's free :3 Has a good story, likeable characters and a nice art style. There is some fan service, but nothing over the top crazy.

You know what they say though: "Boobs sell" :v So i guess that Time Tenshi won't be going anywhere soon. :P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, you're right... :) I wonder if a good boobie game sells better than a bad boobie game, though. I'd expect something like HuniePop to sell many copies, since it's a good game and not just an excuse to throw boobies all over the screen... But making a good game takes more time and more money... Hmm, guess it's a problem... :)

So if the Time Tenshi people hired an artist and a writer, they could make something worth buying... But they probably have a spreadsheet showing they would earn more selling 10 bad games than 1 good one... :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I guess they really do have a spreadsheet like that. It's really simple to slap boobies on a sub par story and it will sell. :S

I guess that most of the people buying stuff like that are uninformed though, or they buy it as a joke.

Ohhh, I only played that for an hour or so, not enough to know for sure. :(

And since I haven't finished this game yet, I think to get a specific ending you'd have to either get incredibly lucky your first time playing, or play a few times and map out which decisions you need to make to get there when you're finally playing "for real." Or look at a walkthrough, I assume. Like most visual novels. :)

Yeah, everything gets cheaper eventually. :) And there's enough other stuff in the library to play while you wait... :)

I have a serious problem of time management (IRL) and my backlog so I didn't play too much, but I did play a little and I like how the tyccon part looks a little like Atelier series with their deadline for certain missions. I love when visual novels turn out to be an actual game and not just reading, it really encourages replaying it. :D

I'll be watching the next hidden GAs, you wait for me. xD

I like how this visual novel is also an actual game, and not just a "click next" fest. :)

One visual novel with extra "game" stuff I didn't like is Sunrider Academy, since the "game" part is make these numbers bigger, so you can get to the next part, so you can make the numbers bigger, etc. The story was ok, but for me the "make numbers bigger" part just got in the way. Guess some people like it, though. :)

I don't make many hidden things, this was just a spur of the moment thing... :) Used to make some puzzles but I haven't done one in a long time... (

Hmm to be honest a lot of the visual novels I actually want to win on steam are those I've already played before so I just play them again for the heck of it. I generally don't buy any since I've already backed any of the really awesome ones I likes. Kickstartering them is cheaper than buying them anyway. I do play through the many short visual novels on steam though, so many of those only have like 2-3 hours of gameplay.
I do like visual novels overall so I do play them when I get them.
Oh and I bought lots of random games for ~10 cents each and some RPGs too. Playing Trails in the Sky right now.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Aha, I haven't tried a single kickstarter thing at all. Not a gambler, I guess. :) And with my memory, I'd back something, then forget and buy it again on Steam. :)

Somehow the short games are easier for me to play, stuff like Shan Gui where there's no choices, just read and click next. :) The longer ones, where I have to make decisions and remember stuff, I can't finish in one sitting so I forget what I was doing... :(

Hope that one's fun, didn't try it myself... :( Guess you have to be in a RPG mood, and it seems lately I'm in a buy stuff and forget about it mood... :) Oh well. :)

Good luck! :)

what I played so far from buying this sale: Darkest Dungeon. Even though it wasn't as cheap as the last sale I missed (50%), I could no longer wait. So far it's a bit different from when I first saw gameplay of it, and more grindy than I thought it would be, but I'm glad I bought it.
Best visual novel purchase I made was two years ago during winter sale. I bought Analogue: A Hate Story. It was kind of confusing with all the long names, but it was well worth the effort of reading the "history". Although the dialogue options are few, I feel like they were quite rememberable.

Oh, same with both of those "hate" games, too. Oops. :( Seems buying them is easier than playing them... Maybe if I leave the game up in the Steam client I'll remember to try it later... Worth a shot... :)

Try to remember better than I do if you win this... :) Good luck! :)

I'm not a fan of eroge visual novels, i like to read a good plot and a good romance. The random/absurd fanservice ruins it for me. However as far as i saw on the comments and reviews, this one isn't like the others. I wanted to give it a try but wasn't sure if it's really worth the money or not. So here i am joining this giveaway xD Thank you for this chance.

My best purchase this summer sale has been Dreadout. I have been waiting for a discount on it for quite a while.

On the Steam forum, it sounds like there is a separate porn version of this game, but you have to buy at the porn store instead of Steam, or something like that... I haven't finished the game yet, so I can't say how well the story holds up, but it's good so far... :)

Hmm, looks like I haven't tried DreadOut, actually I don't even remember buying it... :( Guess that's the usual story, though... Oh well. :)
