Description

Key from Fanatical's Reaper Bundle 4 | No region restrictions as far as I know but
please be kind and don't enter if you don't agree to reroll in case of any problem. GL

Hi, I know it's a pain, but you can't force people not to enter for re-rolls.
Because you're doing a public giveaway, public giveaway rules apply: so people are allowed to enter, and you're required to provide a working key. You can't stipulate your own rules on top of public giveaway rules.
You can, however, create your own Steam group, whereupon, that group can have it's own rules.
You can then make group giveaways which are then restricted to users who join and abide by the rules that you set rather than the public giveaway rules set here on SG.

In any case, thanks for the giveaway :)

Hi. Thanks for the info but I'm an active SG's user for 3 years now and I know the rules. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything I think I used the word "please" which indicates that I'm relying on people's goodwill. In general, I want most of my giveaways to be public and low level required, so since there is no good reason to believe that there are region restrictions, I'm taking the risk. Of course, if the winner faces an issue and refuse to reroll then I'll have a problem. I guess it is what it is, until then I will keep having faith in the community's cooperation.

PS. I made my description more understandable. 😎

What I was trying to say, is that you should respect that SG has rules in place, and so you shouldn't have to put that comment in the description at all. (rewording it doesn't make it any different, imo)

Respect?? Wow! How I disrespect the rules when I'm not demanding anything and I only asked politely for the winner to show understanding in case of any problem? If the winner would play by the book and refuse to reroll then it'd be my problem to deliver a key that works. I would really like to have an opinion on this from a mod/admin.

I apologise, it wasn't meant as an attack on you. I understand my second statement could be taken in a harsh way (it was not written with that in mind).

It is not against the rules to add description to the giveaway (unless it has point that is against guidelines), even when it says "you need to own a cow and paint it pink to get your game". But also any kind of extra "rules" are not enforced by support.

Your first message is more than fine as an information for the creator. But creators shouldn't be asked to change description if it's not against site rules. You (and other users) may think it's in a bad taste but it's creator's decision if they want to keep or change it, after it was pointed that custom rules are not enforceable. As future winners already know that any "extra" rules are not valid.

I think it's more important to show to winners that custom rules are not allowed, than to chase individual creators that try to force winners to act in certain way. Having "educated" winners will prevent this situation from happening in the first place, like SG herd immunity. And I'm not writing about situation here, but about creators who write tickets with "I wrote rule and they do not follow it" reason for re-roll.

Thanks for clarifying the things out. No hard feelings, instead I thank Mayanaise for turning my attention to this which made me more careful about that "issue" I have every time I create a giveaway. I should check SG's discussions first and find out about region restrictions in bundles and maybe make my description more suitable like "I would really appreciate if you let me delete or reroll in case of any problems". English is not my native language so I can't express myself well enough.

Yep, having re-read what I wrote, it could definitely be taken the wrong way.
I wasn't saying he should remove it, I was only saying he shouldn't need it, as rules are in place to protect the giver in most circumstances (winners can still be jerks regardless).
