I liked Sonic Advance a lot, actually. Though I've never played most of the 3D Sonic games, so that probably could change.

Probably Sonic 2 overall. The spin dash was a nice improvement.

Had to check the name since I suck at remembering the name of games but Sonic 3 & Knuckles, that one is basically synonymous with Sonic for me and the one I always think of first. Not sure why besides the fact it is the one I had(and have as my mega drive still works) most access to and thus played the most.

Racing Transformed deserves a mention if only because I played it on whim and it hooked me enough for me to end up doing almost everything before RL got in the way and then going back is frustrating.

I dunno. I only vaguely remember playing some Sonic game ages ago and have no clue which one it was. All I can say is that it was 2D and you could play as different characters, but that's about all I remember of it so just imagine that this would be my introduction to the series if I win (I did watch the cartoon though). ^_^'

played the first 2 sonic games on sega genesis a looooong while ago :D was really fun =) but i wasn't really good at it :S

The closest I got to Sonic were probably some parts of Jazz Jackrabbit. :-]

Sonic CD, mainly because it is the only Sonic game I've replayed every couple years since its release. I also loved tinkering with the debug mode as a kid.

Um... I haven't played many. Tried some of the very old ones from the Genesis era, Unleashed on the PS2 and a PC racing game, Sonic R. I guess out of these I enjoyed the racing game the most...
